What Constitutional Authority

Our president has made various statements about doing end runs on Congress so he doesn't have to wait for them to pass legislation or do other things he wants them to do. He has used the EPA, the NRLB, and various other agencies to accomplish his ends so he doesn't need to "wait for congress".

Now We find our president bypassing congress by allowing money to go to the Palestinians. The last time I checked the House of representatives had the "purse strings" not the President. It would seem the president doesn't need to go much out of his way to bypass congress. All he needs to do is just declare something and congress remains silent giving him tacit permission to do as he pleases. What does the constitution mean if our leaders are willing to ignore it so they can get anything done they want.

It would seem our only hope of preventing all this unconstitutional behavior is to get rid of those who exercise it. The sooner we are rid of them and send them the message that we're not going to put up with it the better off our Union will be.

We need to ask ourselves how long we will put up with those in the highest positions of the nation doing all they can to bring about socialist systems of government where only the highest level of people are exempt from the law and are capable of actually being rich.

They feel free to demonize the rich in our nation but the whole time they are all part of that "1%" and yet they pretend that they are us as well.. Not one person in the media dares to accuse them of their hypocrisy, maybe because they are afraid the charge will be leveled against them as well.

Where the question of constitutionality comes in those almost all of our leaders are showing us they have little respect for it. We have had men and women in congress who have told us outright that whatever they say is constitutional because they are the ones that make the laws.

Obama has shown his disdain for the constitutional process when it comes to the supreme court. He has said so much on at least two occasions while criticizing the supreme court for decisions they've made as though they didn't know what they were doing.

Our congress tries very hard to pass most of their 100,000+ pages a year in legislation under the radar. Yes they have nothing better to do then find new ways to regulate your life. They genuinely believe they care more about your and your family than you do and that's why they need to regulate everything they can think of.

They were busy recently regulating children doing their chores on the farm. Can't have kids doing chores. Of course in their mind this is akin to slave labor or some odd violation of child labor laws. Don't forget these are people who have probably never been closer to real farming then what they see on the discovery channel, but this certainly makes them experts, and besides sure the parents of such children are having them just to use them as labor. Thankfully we have such a loving congress who will watch out for them even if that means their regulations will put their parents out of business and living in a car with their children. Don't worry Daddy and Mommy government is there to provide them with food stamps which will certainly help raise their standard of living!

Aren't our representatives compassionate. If you confront them about this you will be the one attacked with every regulatory group they have at their command just because of how insensitive you are.

The constitution was written to get government off our backs and out of our private lives. It was not written as a means to give 500 people the power to micro manage our lives. Congress and the government need to butt out. They  need to have their power stripped and their jobs. Let them return to the work force, get new people in who will make sure that every bill the previous group wrote will be applied to them as well. I have little doubt at that point that at least some of the massive regulations would be cut back on.

We need to get these people out. if you think it's all the other representatives that are bad and that yours is great, just ask yourself what is so marvelous they've done that you just have to have them back in office again. most people don't even know their names, they just vote for the incumbent. He's an idea... just vote for anyone who is not an incumbent.

Are these really the best people we could find to run our government, and have they really done such a great job that we vote them back in for decades at a time?

It's time to dump them all unless they have shown us the most stellar ethics and done everything they can to unravel the mess that has become our government.

Media Reporting Analying Distracting Stories

Every time we turn around it seems there is some distracting story. The media has reach the point of acknowledging it’s just a distraction and yet they continue to report and analyze it. What could be more absurd than that? If they know it’s a distraction and not worthy of actually reporting it, they should just stop reporting about it.

On top of this wouldn’t it make more sense for them to take their time covering what it is the distraction was designed to cover up?

Clearly the main stream media is not interested in real reporting and they are so caught up in their ideological goals that they don’t care that people are ignoring them now and can’t be bothered to watch them. If they really wanted to take away Fox’s #1 spot all they need to do is start reporting real news that interests people. Not dog stories and the like but actual investigative reporting that puts the heat on all of those that are in government.

The democrats know the media will cover for them and the media does so they feel free to do as they please.

Sadly even Fox News seems to regularly get caught up in the dopey stories of the day. They also admit that they’re none stories yet continue to report and analyze them. If they didn’t give them air time or take time to send reporters to look into those no brainer stories maybe they’d be able to devote more time to real reporting.

I believe Santorum was right about Fox News getting behind Romney almost from the start. One of the first stories I heard when the primaries began was already calling him the “presumptive frontrunner”. Now that they’ve got him in their constant reports are about how badly he’s doing. How the women voters don’t like him or how he’s not doing well with one demographic or another.

In many ways this was the same thing they did with McCain. They gave him all the points for being the best pick of the lot, and then he turned out to be the worst one we could have picked. It is almost as though, at least on off years that they don’t put their best forward because it is assumed they can’t win against an incumbent.

I don’t know where this is written but they all seem to accept it. Now they’re caught up in the “Likeability” index of Obama. Rush has nailed this square on the head. Just what has Obama done that makes him likeable? When asked about that person’s grandmother who had a zest for life his advise was as cold hearted as it gets. He was recommending that they should just give her some pills to help her accept her situation.

Once again it is more meaningless reporting. Instead of reporting on his accomplishments or lack thereof they report on how likeable people are. They behave as though this has no influence, but it is clear that it does. After all if you’re constantly told how likeable someone is and you’re the only person that doesn’t seem to like them you’re going to be made to feel strange that you don’t see in them the same thing everyone else does.

In Obama’s case this is especially offensive because I and many others don’t find him particularly likeable at all. He is constantly setting people and groups against each other. What is so likeable about that? He seems bitter, egotistical, megalomaniacal, and narcissistic. I find nothing likeable about any of these characteristics.

Please someone tell me the character qualities he has that make a person likeable because I sure don’t see them. He is not honest. He has told more blatant lies and continues to tell them about everything from who did what to how much oil we have and use. He doesn’t take responsibility but would rather place blame. Are any of these things likeable? Do we look for these qualities in friends of ours? Are these really the kinds of people we find likeable?

Here’s an idea media… when you report that Obama is likeable in a poll how about also asking the follow up question of what it is you like about him?

Democrat Seems to Equal Communist

I have little doubt that just from the title such words will be used as MacCarthyism, but at some point we need to just call it fact. I've been using the phrase “progressive/communist/socialist” for a long time now it seems it is proving even truer than I realized. Today one of our Senators Allen West said there were about of the Senate Democrats that were members of the communist party. Though it doesn't surprise me that so many Democrats in the Senate are communists in that there is little difference between the world views of our current democrats and the socialists and communists, it does surprise me that we have not been more careful about electing people who not only won’t support their oath the constitution, but are even opposed to it. Apparently they still feel the need for secrecy as they are not terribly out about their affiliation, but at the same time they are not trying nearly as hard any more to hide this fact either.

We should all be very concerned. Communism is not merely another world view co-equal with capitalism and the constitution. It is one that is directly opposed it which means their oath to defend and protect the constitution doesn’t mean anything. These people cannot be trusted with the positions and responsibilities we’ve given them. This is rather like inviting Fidel Castro to be the president. It is insane.

It has long been reported that Obama was a member of the American Socialist party. Though there has been no proof of it and though even Fox News won’t dare call him a socialist many of his words and almost all of his actions indicate he is at least a socialist. He also came from the senate.

The arrogant attitude so many of our Senators display toward the people as well as their methods of ramming things down our throats indicate they do not really believe in the democratic process at all. They like the façade and the word, but as far as actually living by such a principle it seems they could care less. The policies and legislation they have voted for indicate they are firm believers in socialism. The government should do everything and most certainly you should never question them about what they’re doing.

Much like Hitler and other famed propagandists, they say one thing, do the exact opposite and for some reason they continue to get away with it. Obama has said that under him the price of gas and coal would necessarily skyrocket. Now that is happening and though people are mad he behaves as though he had nothing to do with it even though this is what he promised. He has said right out to Joe The Plumber that he wanted to redistribute the wealth and that it was a good thing, yet no one is willing to call this socialism either.

The problem that led to the demise of Germany was that no one wanted to believe Hitler was really going to do the things he said he was. People kept thinking, “this could never happen here” and when it finally did it was too late.

The reason this has come upon us is that the Democrats have been in control of our education for a very long time. They do not teach about communism or if they do they put a positive or at least a neutral spin on it. People have become apathetic about it. They have stripped all the real education of our own history out of the classroom. By removing this education or even falsifying it they have managed to make our children hold little regard for the true value of our nation. It is then little wonder we are in the position we are now.

Everyone knows that our congress has an 11% approval rating yet our non-representing representatives laugh at us knowing there is almost no chance that any one of them will be voted out of office. They feel secure in their jobs. They know that 95% of them will be voted back in almost no matter what they stand for because the voters can’t be bothered to find out what they’re really doing, what they really stand for, or what they intend to do. Everyone feels it must be everyone else’s representatives that are the ones no one likes. This is pure foolishness.

Is anyone of them really doing such a wonderful job that we just have to have them back in office again? Honestly I just don’t see it. I believe some, a very few of the ones voted in by the Tea Party movement may be the kind of men we really want to keep but beyond those few I don’t know that there are any others that I would seriously trust to do what is right for the nation. They are all self serving individuals who are there more for what they can get out of it then for what they can do for their country.

Unfortunately too many of the people we have as representatives right now seem to feel they are rulers and despots and they have nothing better to do then find new and creative ways to spend our money. They do this by covering their spending with 100’s of 1000’s of words in laws that are 2000+ pages long that even they haven’t read. Does this sound like the responsible administration of government?  I can’t think of anyone in any other business or position of responsibility that would champion some 2000 page legal document who had not read it. If a ranking representative of a company did that there is little doubt in my mind that person would not be working for the company much longer, so why then do we allow these people to continue to work for us. They of course either write ever law in such a way that they are exempt from it, or they believe at least that they don’t have to worry about obeying the rules. They are like bad parents who constantly say do as I say not as I do.

There is equally little difference in the way the Democrats and the communists deal with the media. They tell the media what to cover and the media cover it. They don’t just cover the details but they cover it with the detail and slant that is desired. They also tend to manage to keep a theme going for weeks at a time instead of zeroing in on real issues. The Fluke case is a perfect example. Why did she get so much media attention for saying that birth control ought to be given to students. In any other time the media would not have covered a subject like this with such verve and unrelenting coverage. Now the media is stuck on the remarks about Ann Romney. The entire time no one is following what the president is actually doing behind the scenes. All they do is ask him to comment on their fabricated story and are gleeful if he does. Beyond this they are not asking him any questions about what he’s doing to fix things. They are not asking him hard questions about Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, or any of the other major world events going on.

All of this smacks of media manipulation and propaganda and still they continue with their little shiny object story that has no real substantial meaning to the lives of the American people. When he says that we’re drilling more oil than ever, as though he’s the cause yet they don’t ask him why he’s stood in the way of every oil drilling operation he can? They don’t mention that the other places are drilling oil like crazy there because in those cases the government can’t block them. If they could believe me Obama and the Democrats would be leading the charge. This is all about damaging the economy and trying to throw the nation into chaos. It is for this reason there are the constant remarks about racism, and class warfare. There is no question that Obama and the Democrats are trying to whip up a frenzy that may lead to a revolution.

Obama is a genius at organizing political attacks on his enemies but managing to stay far enough on the fringe that he can pretend he had nothing to do with it if it goes wrong. If it goes well then he will follow it up with more comments of his own.

Fairness and Fair Share

These two terms are being used constantly by the president, the administration and the media. Every time the discussion of taxes comes up we hear about fairness somewhere in the conversation.

My problem is that these terms are never defined. They have come to mean that everybody gets the same no matter what and for no good reason. Sadly most people do not seem to know what fairness means. Maybe this has happened because of the dumbing down of our society. Maybe it's happened because of the silly notion of self esteem and that it is always important that everyone gets the same treatment.

My problem is this.... Should a person who really works hard at school get the same grade as the person who spends all his time partying and can't pass any of the tests? Does this mean the tests should be changed? Should he be forced to give his A grade to someone less fortunate or maybe take a C so someone else can go from an F to a C? If you work a lot of overtime should you be forced to share it with someone who doesn't work at all so that you all have the same amount of money?

In a nutshell this really is the idea of fairness as it's being put forward by the president and the administration. The news media is more than happy to allow this understanding to continue and even encourage it.

Fairness does not mean you always get what everyone else gets for no good reason. Fair means that you get what you deserve which would of course be fair in which case you have no claim to the rewards of another's labors, no matter what they are? If not this then fairness means you get what everyone else gets under equal circumstances. By this definition again you would not have any right to the fruits of another person's labors, only that you would have a right to the fruits of your own labor.

The problem with the entitlement society is that people have become lazy and just want stuff given to them. They either don't understand or simply wish to ignore the fact that if everyone wanted to live off everyone else's labor then no one would be working and we would all be equally destitute. Now I'm sure our communist/socialist/progressive representatives and president would love to see this form of fairness but as an American I want to keep the fruits of my labors.

Let's get back to the meaning of words.

It's not fair that the government should take my hard earned money and give it to someone who isn't lifting a finger to help themselves any more than it's fair that I should take your hard earned money and give it to myself because I don't want to work. This is called robbery not fairness!

Obama Genius of Distraction

It still never ceases to amaze how easily the media including Fox News is able to be distracted from anything the president or the congress is going. Now it's about the Trayvon Martin shooting. The media has report after report on it. They can't let it go.

Now let me ask in the last 2 weeks how many murders have happened? Weren't at least some of them between different races? So why does this one get so much attention? Because the president and his cronies inserted themselves into the narrative.

If these people had not covered them and their remarks probably this would have been treated like every other case.

Are any of the large media outlets covering important things like Allen West's remarks that there may be as many as 80 Democrats in the Senate that are card carrying members of the communist party? Do any of the media even investigate these issues? Do they hammer at and do their own investigations into Fast and Furious or just wait for the congress to tell them something? Do they bother to report how the congress is willing to settle for the excuse that they're being stonewalled, when they are the most powerful body of people in the United States. I wonder if that would fly in the Trayvon Martin case?

What if investigators in that case were being "stonewalled" would that be acceptable?

Where was the ongoing uproar about the New Black Panther Party when they were intimidating voters and the Holder decided it was time for that case to be dropped when it was a sure thing?

Should Car Insurance Cover Speeding Tickets?

I'm not even sure why there has been all te uproar about health insurance covering birth control. As the title suggests, should car insurance cover speeding tickets? After all if you speed you know there's a chance that you'll get a ticket. No one says you HAVE to speed. Speeding is a choice you make and you know the risks going into it. You never HAVE to speed. Likewise you don't HAVE to have sex.

Again if you know the penalty for speeding and you are willing to pay the price then that is of course up to you, but you are the one who should pay for it, not the people who don't speed and don't feel the "need" to speed.

The problem with our society is that we can no longer tell the difference between a need and a want. I must admit if I knew someone else would bear the burden of the consequences for my speeding I would certainly speed a lot more. After all who doesn't want to get where they're going faster, and certainly going faster is more fun. This still does not change the fact that when my fun comes at the expense of others that I should not expect them to pay for it.

Ever since the free love movement of the 60's we've come to think that having sex whenever you want to is almost an obligation and that you should never deny yourself any pleasure. Sadly now it is going far beyond that. Now people behave as though they didn't know the consequences that behavior might cause and so it has somehow caught them by surprise. This, they think, must be some shortcoming of society and there for society should make it up for them.

I have yet to hear any cogent or aggressive statement from anyone that these people might at least consider not having sex if they can’t afford to get pregnant. This idea seems completely unthinkable in today’s society. The attitude is that no one in our society, others societies, or even in our past ever felt the slightest compunction about having sex whenever they pleased. We have the liberals trying to convince us that people have always and regularly had sex outside marriage, that people have always and regularly cheated on their spouses. They know that almost no one that is alive today can remember those times for themselves and so they believe the lie that the way we behave now is the same way we behaved 60 years ago.  They feel safe making that claim because these things were not even spoken of and it was considered rude to even ask people about their sex lives in the 50’s and 60’s. This alone should show the level of modesty that existed.

Sex in the 50’s and 60’s and before was considered a sacred thing between a husband and wife was not talked about with others. If you had sex outside of marriage or cheated on your spouse it was something to be lived down often for a very long time. You were considered loose, meaning you had no self control. These things were clearly important in our society. But now you are ridiculed for even suggesting that a person should exercise self control regarding almost anything.

There has been a great deal of criticism toward Rush Limbaugh for calling Fluke a slut, but the reality is that this term fits. No one bothered to ask what does the word means. From the Chamber Online Dictionary: slut noun, derog 1 a woman who regularly engages in casual sex. 2 a prostitute. 3 an untidy, dirty or slovenly woman.

Clearly the first term matches Flukes own admitted behavior. If she or anyone else is offended with the term more than the actions then maybe they should redefine that word too as so often happens with the liberals. Of course this is a hard word to redefine so instead they make it so politically incorrect because someone is offended by it that people simply won’t use it any more. Soon they’ll be calling it the “S” word as they now do with the “C” word, and the “N” word as if to erase the actual words from our lexicon.

I still contend that health care should no more pay for contraception than car insurance should pay for speeding tickets.

Why Do We Need the President’s Approval to Question Someone that May Implicate Him

I heard Arlen Specter Utter these words today and was amazed when he followed it up with the idea that Obama might stonewall them. In the first place since when does congress needs the permission of the president or any other citizen for that matter when it comes to a major investigation? This is absurd to say the least. Of course he’ll stonewall them, and if he they believe they have to have his permission to do this then they believe the president is immune from the law.

The president is not above the law. No man in America is supposed to be above the law. Once again it only shows that our congress people are woefully inadequate to the task. These people are going to do nothing about fast and furious. They’re making it a spectacle not an investigation.

When will the insanity on Capitol Hill end. Do they really think we’re as stupid as they are? Since when does an investigator ask if the only they’re investigating will allow them to get the information that may implicate the one being investigated in a crime? The congress would have us believe they are powerless to do anything about Obama or his administration stonewalling them. This is absurd!

I keep hoping our leaders will actually show some strength, character or boldness regarding their equals. They certainly behave like strong men when it comes to enacting laws and regulations on the common man. They sure pulled in that athlete fast enough when they thought he had used steroids. Now there’s something deserving of the congresses attention. I wonder what they would have done to him if he refused to show up or answer their questions. I can’t help but think that they would have held him in contempt, with possible fines or jail.

It is clear that we are rapidly coming to two classes in the United States. No, it is not the rich and the poor as our politicians would have us believe, it is the ruling class and those who are ruled or subjugated. They believe they are above the law because they, and possibly we do not believe any longer or know that the constitution declares that there is to be equal justice. Sadly too many people in our nation no longer understand or know what the constitution even says any more.

The Justice Dept. Refuses to release records even under subpoena

If the justice department refuses to obey the law when they are subpoenaed to give documents to the congress then how can we trust that they will do the right thing when it comes to upholding laws regarding the rest of Americans? They are already showing their disdain for the law and by doing this they become completely untrustworthy for the office they hold.

It would seem at this point almost all of the top officials of the White House and those appointed by Obama feel neither shame nor responsibility for the constitution or the laws of these United States. Obama refuses to answer letters requesting information or explanation. Obama refuses to show up for court, and nothing happens. Holder singlehandedly determines to drop the case against the New Black Panthers regarding election tampering and intimidation and nothing happens. Holder is caught with his hands in the cookie jar with Fast and Furious and still won’t give up documents demanded by the congress. Obama declares war in Libya even though there was no threat to the United States, and doesn’t involve congress. Now Obama has decided to bypass congress and give money to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt without the permission of congress, and still congress allows all this to happen under their watch without a word.

It seems that congress is complicit with the degradation to the constitution. Can a nation long stand if it refuses to be a nation of laws? Will it not most certainly turn into a tyranny if we refuse to uphold the laws that made this nation great?

The congress has joined in on its attack against the American people. They are doing this by passing a law that allows them to put Americans in Jail if they criticize the government. This imprisonment can happen on an indefinite basis. What happened to trial by jury? Further the Law states that they can use the military to do this. The constitution strictly forbids the use of the military as an arm of law enforcement. If people don’t start to speak up loudly and soon we will find that we are no longer living in the nation our founding fathers created. We will be living in something far more akin to the Soviet Union than that of the United States.

At one point I might have  said that our nation was slipping away from us, but now all I can say is it is racing down the hill to the cliff and there is little chance we are going to stop it in time. With each passing day the president and those in the socialist progressive movement manage to push the buttons of the American people a little more. They make them dissatisfied with what they have and angry and envious of what others have making the nation ripe for revolution. They have stolen the education of our children so that even the adults no longer know the lessons of history and how these movements come to the full fruition of tyranny.

The Dept. of Un-Education

Our teachers would have us believe they should be respected as paragons of society by virtue of nothing but the fact that they are teachers. In general they think there shouldn’t be any standard by which to measure their performance they need to adhere to. They act outraged whenever anyone questions the quality of their teaching. They constantly complain that they are under paid. Yet the product they are producing overall is very inferior.

Is this to say that all teachers are this way? I do not believe that all of them are this way, but the reality is that far too many of them are. They view their jobs more as social engineering and social experimentation. They are so full of themselves that they really don’t believe anyone else is qualified to judge what they are doing, even the parents.

The Dept. of Education loves to tell us they need more money and that the reason for the poor outcome is the lack of money and poor parenting. The blame always belongs somewhere else. I can’t help but wonder, if they have no sense of personal responsibility how can they teach it?

Many of them have a blatant disregard for the facts and for knowledge. They would rather teach philosophy and political ideology! They teach these things as though they were facts but become quite annoyed when someone asks for hard supporting data. At this point they become indignant, change the subject, ridicule, or make a statement that amounts to, “Everyone knows…” This response is as much as to say, “You’re too stupid and either not capable of understanding the answer or not worth the time it would take to explain.” Either of the reasons would certainly indicate that they are really not teachers at heart and thus not qualified for that profession.

They are not really interested in teaching. They do not thrill to see a student truly learn. They simply love teaching their communist and socialist views of the world. They do far worse than the teaching by rote so many of them quickly and easily criticize.

Why do we continue to put up with such teachers? The answer is simple. They have unions that make it nearly impossible to have them fired no matter what they do and because they know this they feel free to do pretty much anything they want. This is the reason the problem with education continues. I personally have seen teacher trying to teach simple math fractions who don’t have a clue how fractions work, so how do they expect to teach their kids? The answer is simple they don’t, and they don’t really care. This is something that any 5th or 6th grader knows, but these teachers can’t seem to teach it properly. I suspect what is really happening is that the parents are doing the teachers jobs at home because they DO care if their children can do these things. The parents also recognize that being able to do these things really is important.

These same teachers are more than ready and willing to strike at the first sign that anyone would require them to actually do an effective job. They will even become violent as we saw in Wisconsin if someone should threaten their easy life. Sadly many of our teachers are communists or socialists or at least lean heavily in that direction. Why do have such people teach our children un-American principles? The right to criticize the government is granted by the constitution, but the right to teach our children things that are not constitutional, especially funded by the government is not granted and certainly not right.
