The media as well is busy making statements with no regard to facts. They state quite simply and with all confidence that the inundation of town hall meetings is by republicans. Yet even as they report this they do not scour carefully enough what they say. On one news site they stated that constituents had gotten robocalls to go to the town hall meeting. It does not say that republicans had gotten this call, but rather that constituents had gotten this call.
Because the media reports that it is right wing and republican, extremists/mobs, that is of course what is accepted, but they do not give a single fact to back this up. They have not polled any of the people attending to find out what percent are republicans, democrats, independents, etc. They do not even seem to care. They are far more concerned with their agenda and that of Obama that we have public health care. They quite determined to make sure the bill goes through.
Our non-representing representatives are choosing to believe their own propaganda. They must know these "mobs" are not actually mobs, but very concerned citizens who don't want them to vote for this bill. All they need to do is ask themselves if they've ever seen a phenomena like this before?
It is understandable why they would think this was organized. They cannot help but think this because this is the only way they ever get anything done. They do community organizing, organizing gay and lesbian groups, animal rights groups, Hispanic groups, all to push some agenda they have and because this is the onlly way they know to make it appear they have wide support for their unpopular views they assume the other side must now be doing the same thing. Whether there is any evidence for this or not they intend to say it and then will probably try to plead ignorance later on when they find they have no support they will claim they dind't know. Like everything else they can't be bother to find out what the American people want by asking them directly. They feel the need to get all their information from liberal media polls, as though those things are so reliable.
This is just one more indication to me that they really are not interested in what the American people think, they appear to only want the people to accept what they say as what is best for them. in my opinion they behave as though they know better than we do what is best for us. They seem to think we are little different than misguided children who need their all knowing guidance.
One cannot help but wonder how these people made all their money and became rich if they can't budget. I do not believe it's that they can't budget well, but rather that they choose not to. They have other agendas. They seem to have always viewed themselves as societal parents taking care of poor foolish children.
I have reached the point that I would rather vote for a next door neighbor at random than vote for any one of them, democrat or republican. They have shown they are not responsible with the trust the people have put in them. They do not read the bills. Their excuses are as lame as that they don't have the time because something has to be done quickly. If it isn't that it's some foolish non-representing representative saying what's the point of reading the bill since you'd need several days, several people and 2 lawyers to read it. There is hardly a member of congress who doesn't have a law degree. I guess they're asking us to believe that they only got honorary degrees and didn't actually study to get them.
Normal people have been reading through the health care bill and posting what they've found. Yes, our wonderful leaders try to make it as complicated and confusing as possible, I suppose in the hope that no one will bother to read or find out what is in the bills or that they won't even be able to understand them.
The question also arises, if they don't know what's in the bills doesn't that indicate that someone else is writing the bills. If this is the case then maybe we should be looking to the ones that wrote the bills for information as to what is in them.
It is also a very sad state of affairs when our media who pay large numbers of people for just this sort of thing have no idea what is in the bills. Fox News has at least half a dozen lawyers on staff, but not one of them has reported on anything they've found in the bills. It has been the common man from main street America that has had to find this information and post it on the web for the rest of us to read. This of course leads me to ask what is the point of the news media then? I'm sure they'll cover the latest sexual harassment suit, or go on for weeks about someone who fell off a boat wanting to know what happened to them as though this affects every American, but when it comes to bills that really will affect every American the media including Fox News are nowhere to be found. But they certainly need to cover the latest youtube video of a man on a slip and slide going off a ramp almost 100 feet in the air into a wading pool. Now that's national NEWS. Are these people insane?!
Beside Glenn Beck and a few other talk show hosts almost nothing of the madness is being covered. And because those voices are so few they can be easily brushed aside as kooks. There is of course no one ot hold the media accountable except the market place. The problem with that is that those of us that want any scrap of information about what's really going on in the world will watch and listen in the hope that something of importance will slip through, and every so often it does. It should not be the exception that this happens, but sadly it is.
The media, again including Fox News is so afraid to declare that the emporer has no clothes that even they won't cover and find out once and for all whether Obama is indeed qualified to be president on his natural born status. The simple reasoning that if the president has provided SO MUCH evidence regarding this issue then where is it and why has he so effectively blocked any further access to that information. After all if it's already out there it should be easy to find and prove, which would shut the "birthers" up. It's because the information cannot be found anywhere and the media (including Fox News) are afraid to appear foolish. All Gibbs has to do is label it the concern of conspiracy theorists and the media won't touch it.
The watch dogs are sleeping while the foxes are raiding the hen house and all we can do is wait to be eaten by the foxes.
I say now is the time for every american to contact their non-representing representatives and let them know what you think whatever that may be. There is still some hope that our leaders may actually wake up. I'm of the mind at this point that even if they do wake up on one or two issues they've already proven themselves unworthy and need to be voted out of office at the soonest possible opportunity.
It is a simple thing to get rid of them. If everyone just votes for anyone but the incumbent we will have a whole new congress. The party is not nearly as important as the country!

When the Dust Settles
What will be left when the dust settles? What will be the end of those who will nto concern themselves with their times? If we allow a governmental cataclysm to occur what makes us think we will escape its consequences?
The government needs your help to track and find those who oppose it. The government needs your help to know who is standing against its policies. The government needs to know who the troublemakers are. Turn in your fellow citizens. Contact your local secret service or official if anyone tells you something which is offensive to the sitting president or his plans for the future of this nation. If they question his goals, plans or methods, contact us and let us know how they are. We can’t do this alone. We need the citizens to help us so report your neighbor or family member if you hear them saying anything that might be considered offensive.
Let me ask you does this sound like Russia or the United States? I always thought this was the Russian/totalitarian way of doing things, but these are the kinds of things posted on the White House website blogs. Still think you live in the same United States you were born in?
Would you have thought we would have government mandated health care? Would you ever have thought the government would vote itself the power to spy on the American people under such a thing as the Patriot Act? This act was supposed to be temporary but the congress, as with every law they enact chose to extend it. It is rare that they ever want to do anything that is temporary. Once they vote themselves more power they do not wish to give up even an inch of it.
I wonder what happened to the American concept of voting those people out of office who were not doing the job they were placed there for. Would you have thought we would have leaders that would vote for bills they hadn’t read? Would you have thought we would have leaders who would cast aside public sentiment with the wave of their hand declaring hundreds of thousands of angry Americans to only be “angry mobs”, as though we were out of control?
This is the nation we have come to. If this is already where we’re at now can you imagine where things will go from here? Do you think our leaders will stop with this? Is there anything in either their words or their actions that indicates they are gaining any modicum of common sense about things? Do they really represent your views? If they don’t why do we continue to vote them back in office.
Did you ever think we would allow groups like ACORN to commit voter fraud and get away with it without an investigation? Did you think ever think the government would be in the business of owning private industries? Did you think we would have representatives who would put our great grandchildren in debt to the government, thus insuring indentured servitude to the government for generations to come?
Taken one at a time we might be able to put up with one or two of these, but considered as a whole and doesn’t it paint a completely different picture of where our nation is going? So I ask where do you think this will end when the dust settles?

The New Amerika
I would like to start by saying everything except the quote by Linda Douglass in this article are strictly my opinion. Yes, the times we live in, I know. If you read on you will see that I write this first because it may not be long before they start trying to shut us up, first with lawsuits and if possible maybe even prison.

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. I have little doubt that this will be taken down before long as it is now causing a bit of a firestorm. Every American should understand Obama and the administration seem approve these tactics or they would never have allowed this on their website.
You should be asking, "Why would the White House want this information?" and "What do they intend to do with this information?" It is fairly certain they do not just want to gather this information for the sake of statistics. The tone of the entire blog, in my opinion has a sense of control as well as to cause fear that there may be retribution for exercising your right to free and protected speech, though it may not be protected for long. I would think they certainly could not do anything against the people who hold contrary views to theirs. Yet, even as I write this I'm reminded of the armies of lawyers I've heard about that are going after those that question the legitimacy of Obama's very presidency.
Though it would be illegal to use the IRS or another similar organization to go after anyone holding those views that doesn't mean it won't happen. A simple phone call to the right person and you find yourself being audited, unendingly. This has apparently already happened to Rush Limbaugh according to things he's said on the radio. There is, of course, no way to prove these things are intentional, nonetheless they happen. Rush may have the money and lawyers to defend himself but most of us don't.
Even in writing this I can't help but wonder if I may not be tagged as one of thsoe right wing extremists they are now seem to be targeting. I keep asking myself if this is the America I grew up in. I remember as I child hearing about how people in Russia were encouraged to inform on each other. It happened in Germany and it is happening in China and many other nations now. All of these are nations that are totalitarian nations. Do we really want to be like this? I remember reading Alexander Solzenitzen's The Gulag Archipelago. He was thrown in a labor camp because someone informed on him about something he hadn't even done because they wanted something he had.
I would like to think Americans are above this, but as we race to embrace almost every other socialist value I can't help but wonder if we will not end up where they have. Yes we have had the longest surviving constitution in the history of the world, but history has shown us that ever nation has eventually fallen and I can't help but wonder if our time is not coming soon as well.
Our non-representing representatives seem to be dismantling the constitution and our way of life and economy as quickly as they can. They are writing and passing bills faster than they can read them. It is all happening so fast it almost makes your head spin just to keep up with it. Those in power have appointed people to remake the news in the nice image they want it, whether it matches the facts or not. If you question the facts as presented by the government you may now find yourself being informed on with possible unspecified consequences.
As our non-representing representatives are confronted by angry constituents, rather than listen to their concerns and act accordingly, they declare these people were told to come there and were organized without the slightest amount of evidence. Then the news prints what they say as though it were true. I have never been involved in politics. I have never called my non-representing representatives untill recently. Now I find myself perturbed by what they are doing and the way they simply ignore us that I've been making regular calls to them as well as writing numerous emails. All of this only gets a response that amounts to... "who cares! We know better."
The utter hypocrisy of our leaders is staggering. They didn't seem to have any problem with other organizations organizing an deven bussing people in to harrass voters and cajole them into voting. Yet they have a problem with conservatives doing it, though it is not even actually happening that way. My only point is that even if it were happening that way they should have not problem with it. They either are unwilling to face the idea that this is a grassroots event, or they know it is and are willingly lying about. Though I believe most every non-representing representative in congress is unethical, deceptive, and more concerned about power than about doing their job, I don't think they're stupid. If they were stupid there might be some excuse for what they're doing; at that point it would just be a matter of pride as to why they weren't listening to us. I do not believe this is the case. I believe they know full well what the American people want and have determined to ignore the American people in favor of a New Amerika. This is by far the more frightening of the two possibilities.
I can only wonder how long it will be before blogs like this start disappearing off the net. I wonder if the blog by Linda Douglass will disappear as well and then have the administration deny it was ever there. Maybe they'll declare it doesn't say what it clearly says above. This is one reason I've saved a copy of the webpage to my computer, though I'm sure even this they would say is just something I made up.
Paranoid? Well they say you're not paranoid if people are really out to get you, and it seems the administration is asking for informants so they can get you. Anyone who can't see the undertone in the quote above has no knowledge of histroy or political science.
Please contact your non-representatives. Whether you are a republican, democrat, independant, libertarian, or some other party. Let them know what you think! Your rights are slipping away faster than you know. Look at my previous post for what's in the "health care bill" they don't want you to know about. This is the stuff that has to be voted on NOW!!! We can't wait. It's so important they seem to feel they shouldn't even read it. I believe they are so crazed with power at this point as well as self deluded that they think ANY change is better than leaving things alone, though it goes much further. It seems they don't think small change is nearly enough. They seem to feel they must completely cast off everything of the old and completely remake it.

Governemnt Health Care Want it or Not!
Our non-representing representatives are determined to give us "free" health care whether we want it or not. They have determine we are too stupid to know what we need. They have also determined because a few can't afford to get it or don't want it that all must be ma de to take it. Is it just me or is there something about this that doesn't sound reasonable?
Consider for a moment because there are several million in the country that can't find jobs or for whatever reason are on welfare, does this mean that everyone should be given welfare? For that matter does it mean they should all be forced to take welfare whether they want it or not? This is what is being proposed for our declining welfare, entitlement nation. The new health care bill goes much further than this. This bill has been an excuse to put every government intrusion in place our non-representing representatives have ever wanted to put in place but were afraid too, all in the name of "helping" us.
So many of the things in this bill have nothing to do with health care that it ought to scare anyone who knows about it. The problem is our leaders are determined to make sure that we never learn what is in bills till after they are passed. Once bills are passed they know they will not be overturned. The only major exception to this rule has been slavery that was overturned by an amendment to the constitution.
One of our non-representatives admitted there wasn't much point even for them to read the bills since it would take 3 people to read them and 2 of those people would have to be lawyers. This was coming from a man who was a lawyer. Think about it for just a moment. Even a lawyer couldn't understand what was in the bill. Does anyone bother to ask, "just who is authoring these bills?" They are clearly so complicated and so full of legalese that it takes whole teams of people to try to read them and make out what they're saying yet our leaders don't take the time to read the bills before voting on them. I wonder sometimes if they don't vote on the bill just based on the title. Maybe their thinking is that any bill with a title that sounds politically correct must be good bill. Maybe they really just don't care. maybe they make sure the bills are written this way and know full well what is tucked away in many corners of the bill and just hope the public won't find out till it's too late.
If your non-representing representative bothers to take the time to have mock town hall meetings, such as Obama seems to puts on please, Please, PLEASE... take the time to go and don't let them put you off because you don't feel armed to ask intelligent questions, or because they've decided the really important things aren't going to be a part of their agenda. Don't let them get away with that!

I have taken to going down to my non-representing representatives office an hour a week and handing out flyers to passers-by advising them not to vote for her at the next election. This is the only thing our representatives may listen to. Yes, people laugh and snicker when you say the government controls the media. The media swears it doesn't have an agenda and that it's independent, but the reality is that the government says to stop calling something "swine flu" and start calling it "H1N1". Obama and congress stop calling the new government managed healthcare, "government healthcare" or "single payer" because these aren't working well with the public even though they're the most accurate, so they start calling it health insurance reform. This of course makes it sound like they're going to fix the healthcare insurance that's already there rather than replace it with government healthcare and the media dutifully starts calling it what the government want them to call it.
Many of the "Townhalls" that Obama puts on seem like they're amazing for him. Normal people can't help but wonder where the hard questions are. But no one is willing to believe they are actually staged. It is no better than Pravda, They choose the people and the questions knowing what they are in advance and making sure only those questions they want are asked.

It amazes me the number of people who praise the Canadian Healthcare system yet know almost nothing about the way it really works. What they know is that it's government run and "free". People for some reason seem to think that government of any country is known for doing things better than the private sector in spite of the fact they can't produce one instance of this except the military, which is after all what the government is for.

Independence Day
Well here it is the 4th of July. How quickly we've forgotten what this holiday stands for. Like so many of our national holidays it has become about nothing more than a day off to spend with families, eat, and maybe go to the fireworks.
Independence was about being independent from an oppressive nation. That nation, England, had a King and a general government that felt it could tax the people anything it wanted. The Americas were rich in natural resources and England felt those resources naturally belonged to it. The way these resources are taken is always through taxes. You send people there to work let them keep a small amount of what they work for and take the rest.
The men and women on this continent were forbidden from trading with other countries that might pay them more for their goods. They were forced to house soldiers in their homes. They reached the point where the taxes became too oppressive and the revolt began.
At even the hint of a tax revolt the media starts warning people they should do that or there might be consequences. I can't help but wonder what our nation would be today if the leaders and papers here at given the same advice to the colonists.
We hear about the tea party, but I don't think most understood what really happened that night. We are having tea parties now that I suppose are symbolic but mean nothing to our leaders because those "tea parties" are not really costing or threatening our leaders in any way. They don't feel the least afraid of what they might mean. Maybe they should but be that as it may they are not behaving as though they are the least concerned with the tea parties. When the colonists through the tea into Boston Harbor, it was not a small amount of tea they threw overboard. It was 50,000 pound of tea. An OUNCE of tea today costs about $5-$8. At the cheap end this comes to about $4,000,000.00 in today's economy. This was no small thing!
They were not only telling the King and England that he wasn't going to get any taxes for the tea, they hit him where it hurts, in the pocketbook. This of course provoked a strong reaction from the government, who sent soldiers. They then told the soldiers and the government to forget it that this kind of severe taxes was not going to happen.
Understand before all this happened they tried to negotiate with the King and got nowhere. This is so much like our present day circumstance. At some point it is either going to be time to dump the tea so to speak or just give in to the government demands. Understand I'm not advocating taking up arms. But we can certainly go exempt on our pay checks for 1 month. The amount of loss to the federal government would send a clear signal either give us what we want and stop taxing us so much or you won't get any more.
Yes, there is little doubt if we do this they are going to try to scare us into submitting. At this point our representative elite (Rulers, for they do not view themselves as representatives any more) will respond by sending people to arrest us or they will give us what we want. The question is, "Are the American people up for the challenge?"
It is time we started thinking seriously about how much ground our leaders have gained in taking away our liberties and our money for the sake of spending it on every ridiculous program they can think up.
One example of what our leaders think about tea parties and protests.... My representative (read RULER) Lynn Woolsey like many other representatives got so many calls the day of the vote on cap and trade that it brought down the lines in washington more than once. The ratio was 20-1 against and they ignored those millions of calls saying they were just special interest groups flooding the lines. 10's of millions of calls is not special interest groups, but even if it were it's still 10's of millions of calls and they were ignored.
The senate is getting ready to do the same thing and don't fool yourself if you think they're going to listen to you this time any more than the house of Rulers... er representatives did. What congress is more likely to do is to simply make changes and amendments to what they’re already planning on passing so it makes it look as though they’re fine tuning what the people want and need. The problem is the concept not the execution. This is what congress either doesn't get or chooses to ignore.
This new bill has an amendment in place that will require the "green police" to come to your home before you sell it. If it doesn't meet up to their green standards you will have to make it comply before you can sell it. This potentially could mean you'll need to replace all your windows with new double pane glass, reinsulate your house, change your hot water heater for one that's engery efficient, replace your washer and drier and dishwasher, re-roof your house and maybe even add solar panels before you can sell your house. This will effectively make it impossible for people to sell their homes. This means the governement will be able to tell you when you can sell your home.
If you're fine with this then just let congress go ahead and pass this bill. And this is only one of the things in a 1300 page bill none of our rulers have read all the way through. You ought to be outraged. Our rulers always do all this stuff at the beginning of their terms because they know the American people have very short memories. They plan on getting you all kinds of goodies (read PORK) at the end of their term, at the expense of other people's money through taxes in districts where other representatives/rulers are just starting their terms and ot afriad of what their people will do to them.
They continually play this shell game and so far it seems to have worked just fine. Even though congress as a whole has only an 11% approval rating 95% get voted back in because they give you other people's money at toward the of their terms knowing you'll forget all the damage they did earlier.
I hope there is someone out there that reads this and has enough reach and influence to start a genuine tax revolt. As I mentioned it probably wouldn't take more than a large number of people going exempt on their paychecks for 1 month to send the message. Of course once people realize they're sending the government more every month than they spend on their mortgage they might not want to go back to paying all those taxes.
Think about it. You could pay off your mortgage in half the time. You could buy a new car and still have plenty of money and time to build a nice nest egg for retirement even without social security or at this point I suppose we should call it social insecurity since our rulers seem to feel they can take and use that money as they please and just put IOU's in the money's place because we don't need it yet.
