Budget Deficits

Our leaders seem unable to figure out what to do about the skyrocketing budget deficits. Tax the people more they say. Spend our way out of it, by spending money we don't have, but we can borrow or we can, yes you guessed it, tax the people to get. Maybe they can cut firefighters, law enforcement and other vital jobs.

For some unknown reason it does not seem to occur to our leaders to do what normal people do. CUT BACK!!! Like any good family you don't start cutting back by not buying food or fixing the car you need to get to work. You don't start cutting back by throwing your 5 year old out of the house. The first thing you do is cut back on things you've been spending on money you don't really need. We call these things pork. Here in California we have a project to rebuild a historical indian site for $20 million, we have spending to study seals, and so many other things amounting to 100's of millions of dollar. Do our leaders think to cut back on these things? No the first things they want to cut are the things that are for our safety which is the first business of government.

With leaders who lack this basic common sense how can we depend on them to handle the affairs of government responsibly when they don't even understand the basic way you make a home budget work. The principles are the same but they don't seem to understand even those basic principles. We would do far better having housewives and construction workers in government positions than professional politicians, and lawyers who only glory in the number of laws and the amount of legislation they can pass. They produce it faster than they can read it and vote on it just as quickly. Then they expect the rest of us to have to live by it.

As Alan Keyes says, "It's time to throw da' bums out!" If you think it's only everyone else's non-representing representatives that are poor managers of our economy and government affairs you are kidding yourself. There are probably not more than 10 or 15 responsible representatives in the entire congress and as few responsible Governors. If we replaced them all we could not be worse off and it would certainly send the message that if the new ones that get in don't do what the people want and what is genuinely good for the people they'll be out too.

Right now our representatives don't fear losing their offices and as a result don't fear passing the wildest legislation. Even though they have only 10% approval rating at best 95% of them get voted back in all the time. I believe the reason for this is that everyone believes it is the other guy's representative that is at fault.

We need to end the insane "green" legislation that prevents us from building or even cutting down a tree on your own property without all kinds of permits. It is OUR property. We have a right to do with it what we want.

It is time to stop the madness in Washington. Vote out all the representatives and get new blood in there that will be willing to repeal the insane taxes and the insane spending they've enacted. It is time to send a message to Washington that we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it any more. They laugh at the tea parties to our face and nothing happens. They don't change their mind on yet more spending and more taxing because they are confident they'll be there after the next election. They'll pass all those bills now and everyone will forget what they did by the time elections come around. The sad thing is that this seems to prove true.

If people start going exempt on their paychecks that will send an immediate and substantial message to the congress that they don't get any more money till they show they can be responsible with it; something they haven't been able to show yet.

If you haven't done it lately take a look at your next paycheck. See how much you earned all together and then look at how much you got to keep. Then take another almost 10% more of the amount you got to keep and subtract that for sales tax. Very quickly most middle income people will realize they're giving the government more than a house payment a month. Can't own a house? Can't pay your mortgage. It's not becuase you need more money from the government, it's because you need them to STOP TAKING SO MUCH!!!

Consider for a moment if all the money you currently take home could go toward minor bills and recreation because you didn't have to spend a dime of it on your mortgage how easily you could handle your own health care and retirement. Our representatives don't want you to think about this or they know they'll have a tax revolt. It's the biggest reason for tax withholdings. If they take it out before you ever see it you hardly even consider what they're taking. WAKE UP AMERICA! Your being taxed more than our colonial founding fathers were and they started a war against the most powerful empire on the face of the earth because of the oppressive taxes. They didn't ask England to give take care of them when they were old. They didn't ask England to give them a stipend for food. They didn't ask England to provide them with doctors. They TOLD England to get off their backs and out of their country.

The problem now is we have the spirit of the English aristocracy running our country and most of us don't even realize it. Understand the government will never give you back more than you're giving it unless you're one of those people who just expects a handout and expects others to take care of you. If you're one of those people you shoudl be ashamed to live as a vagabond. At one time begging was so shameful you'd almost rather go hungry than beg. Now it's almost considered an honorable way to live and hte people who are made to feel ashamed are those who don't want to give away half of all they earn to take care of the other half who won't work at all.

It is time to put an end to the insanity. If you don't start calling your non-representing representatives and not only threatening to vote them out but actually voting them out so they know you mean business things will only get worse.

Pick up the phone, go on the net and email, or write a letter to your represntatives. It is not that much effort to let them know you're not going to take it any more. Don't be resigned to the idea that the law is already passed and there's nothing you can do about it now. If they passed them they can repeal them and they should.

The government has already begun doing as so many other governments have done. They're taking over businesses. Driving people out of business they don't like. Setting income and bonus standards. Don't fool yourself because they've left you alone so far doesn't mean that will continue. The government schools have been feeding an entire generation nothing but a bunch of politically correct dribble rather than real history because they know as long as the people know what really happened in history they'll see what's coming. People with too much power become intent on keeping. Our non-representing representatives are now consolidating all the power and money in Washington. Through bailouts of states next they will do away with the sovereignty of the states from the federal government and our republic will be gone.

I implore you contact your representatives we have enoough laws. We don't need 100,000's of pages of new legislation to regulate every detail of our lives. We are not children that need watchign over as they would have you believe.

Contact your non-representing representatives and put them in their place or for them out of the place they have.
