Representatives Not Rulers

Obama gave a speech today to encourage the democrats to ignore what their constituents want and just give them what they know is best. The problem with this is that we didn’t higher them to do what they think is best but to do what we think is best. This is probably one of he biggest problems with the non-representing representatives we have now. They are busy doing what they think is best not what we think is best. This changes their position from representatives to rulers. We have not called on them to rule over us but rather to represent us before the rest of the states at the federal level.

It seems neither the media nor our representatives understand this. They view themselves as rulers who have to do what the mindless masses don't know enough to do for us. It amazes me that the media never calls the different representatives on their every changing numbers. Doesn't think indicate they are simply pulling the numbers out of thin air. If the numbers were real numbers they would be the same all the time. Today I heard Geraldine Ferraro on Fox News State what a tragedy it is that we have 31 million people without insurance. I received a response from an email from Lynn Woolsey stating that number was 46 million. I have heard 26 million, 38 million and then number seems to be whatever they want it to be. The bigger and scarier the number the better. I do not believe they know how many are uninsured and for this reason alone they can't possibly know what this bill is going to cost!

Who do they think they're fooling?! Sadly too many politicians and news people simply excuse their utter lack of ethics and honest with the wave of hand saying, "well their politicians" as though this excuses it.

Again i say, these people are not our rulers. We have not put them in office to rule over us but rather to represent OUR interests among the states at the federal level. This was the reason the federal government was so limited in its powers originally. The majority of power was to reside with the states and the federal government was there to give the states a place to air their grievances and find solutions. The federal government was not set up to rule over us in every detail. It was not set up to provide for our daily needs or our health care or education or any of the myriad of other things they have now claimed as their personal domain.

as long as they stand unchallenged on these things their power will continue to grow and that of the states will continue to diminish. With the health care bill about to pass the largest shift in power of the of the federal government in our history will occur. The only other two expansions of government that even came close were social security and Medicare.

They are determined to pass it and they have now amended the bill to include education in the mix. They are determined to rule us and to do that they need to have control over the money. The arm of the IRS is very long. Some states think they will fight back by declaring that we don't have to buy the government health care but our representative don't care about those moves at all. They know they will collect the taxes for their bill whether people take the government insurance or not. Knowing this they also know that sooner or later people will want to get at least something for their money and as such will buy into the government health care.

Our leaders do not understand or care for the constitution or their position from a constitutional point of view. They feel the constitution is too restrictive and as such feel they can ignore it when it suits them.

There is still time to vote these poeple but it is up to us to remember when the elections come around what our representatives have done to us with health care. I do not believe it will be painful at first. In this respect it will be like Y2K when everyone thought the world would cave in if something wasn't done. But now we are in a completely different situation. Things won't be bad and first and people may be tempted to forget what our leaders have done.

Please understand the thing that really miffs me about what our leaders are doing isn't so much the legislation though that is bad too; rather it is our leaders utter disregard for what we the people want. Remember this when it comes time to vote and get rid of people like Pelosi, Reid, Woolsey, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein and their ilk.

These people wear standing up to the will of the people as a badge of honor.They think they are doing something good by not listening to us. By doing this it demonstrates how little they understand or honor the Constitution of the United States.

Do not let these people continue to RULE OVER YOU any longer. When you have the chance to vote them out... please vote them out. We don't need their kind in office any longer. I'm confident out of 350 million people we can find people more qualified than they are.
