Benghazi – High Crimes and Misdemeanors

If this situation doesn’t qualify as a high crime and misdemeanor according to the founders or even according to societal norms I don’t know what would. Yet what do we hear from the administration and from our weak representatives? What we here is that they need more information, which the administration won’t provide and our representatives are more than willing to wait years to get. This is a situation that demands a speedy answer. If we’re going to be voting on whether or not we want Obama for another term we have every right as citizens to know what happened in Benghazi! We have a right to know why our commander and chief did nothing to save those men. We have a right to know who gave the order for the CIA to stand down as well as any others that would have gone to their rescue. We have a right to know what the administration was so concerned about that he didn’t send anyone in to save those men. We have a right to know why they lied about what happened for 2 weeks after the incident even though they knew from the very beginning the real cause of what had happened.

There are so many unanswered question about what happened and yet no one seems determined to get those answers for us. The media is derelict in its duty reporting on the incident because they are so clearly in Obama’s camp that they don’t want any shred of news getting out that might hurt his re-election.

What is going on with our nation? Where is the outrage about events that would normally be acts of war? What is the matter with a president who is afraid to act without the permission of the offending country? Why was he afraid to send men in? If anyone dared to obstruct them that should also have been understood as an act of war and treated as such. What kind of commander and chief do we have? This is an outrage to civility as well as international law and general rules of decency.

Where both the people and the media ought to be screaming for answers till they get them, nothing is happening. Most of the media except Fox News is behaving as though nothing happened at all. “Nothing to see here… Move along.” Seems to be the attitude from our leaders and our media! Since when did we start living in Russia?! I could understand such things from the media and the regime in Russia where everything is still tightly controlled by the communists even though they would like to pretend it is not. I could expect such a black out of offending news against one of the Chinese leaders, but the last time I checked this was America, or maybe it’s not the America I grew up in after all.
Have Americans become so docile that they have lost all ability to be outraged over the death of our own citizens at the hands of terrorists. I for one am quite fed up with cowering before the Muslims for fear of offending the “minority” of extremists. Clearly if they’re such a minority then why would our government be so afraid to call them what they are? The reason is that everyone recognizes that for the most part these “extremists” represent most of Islam not merely the minority. It is just that the only the minority are taking up arms, but then this is the case with any nation. This does not mean the rest of the nation does not support what their military is doing simply because they have not all taken up arms.

It is interesting how they have decided that screaming racist when you question the president isn’t working anymore and is actually turning people off. Now the Democrats have a new term. Any time you want answers to some misbehavior by the president you’re “politicizing” the issue. The term is used as though this obviously means you have no right to demand an answer or even ask the question from the president.

Our president screws up in Libya and we are told to ask questions and want to know why this happened and why they lied to the American people is politicizing the issue. Though Obama may think of himself as a king simply because the media treats him that way does not mean that he does not answer to the American people. It also does not mean that he is immune from the charge of high crimes and misdemeanors. If ever there was a time to invoke this charge it is most certainly now regarding the death of our ambassador and 3 other men. Ambassador Stevens was a representative of the United States. He directly represented the president to other nations. If they treated him this way that it is a direct affront to the United States and to the president.

Unfortunately our president seems to feel that the United States deserves everything we get from other nations. He has apologized for America on almost every opportunity he’s gone. He was even busy apologizing for the video that didn’t cause this problem and then went through the effort of having the man arrested as though he and by extension, America was the one responsible for the death of the American ambassador.

Has come out that Obama was probably in the situation room watching the whole thing go down and was probably also at the root of the orders to stand down instead of doing everything possible to rescue those men in the embassy.

Oddly the media seems to feel it is the job of Romney as a candidate to somehow ferret this out and go after Obama for what happened. Now there is little doubt that he could use it as part of his campaign strategy, but it is equally certain that it is not his job to go after the facts or prosecute the case; that job belongs to congress and the media. Sadly the congress is dragging their heels on this again. They have gone to the media outlet that will air their comments, but this is not something to be played out in what amounts to the News Talk Show format. This is their responsibility and they need to take their responsibility as seriously as they’re saying the president should take his. It’s interesting they can criticize him but look how long they’ve let Fast and Furious go and knowing how things work in Washington even if Obama is re-elected it is doubtless that either nothing would come from the Benghazi incident for 2-4 years or would never nothing at all would come of it ever.

I would ask where the outrage of the American people was but there is little because the media has done everything they can to cover this situation up and protect the president. Of course the easiest way to do this is to just not report it at all which for the most part is just what the media has done. They are as derelict in their duty as the president has been.
