Seeking Our Own Destruction

No one ever wants to believe that their own leaders are seeking the destruction of the nation they lead. It is almost unthinkable, but that sure seems to be the position we find ourselves in.

Our leaders are doing everything they can overturn the second amendment without actually doing so. They want to make it as impossible as possible for people to own guns as they can.

Our leaders have almost completely obliterated our right to private property with the help of the Supreme Court and the redefining of the Commerce Clause. You must now receive permission from the city state or federal government and a seal of approval from them for almost anything you want to do on your own property. At least in California, you need to get permission if you want to cut down or plant a tree in your yard. You need to get a permit, this means you not only need to get permission, but you need to pay for that permission from the government. How is this any different from a bribe? If you get a water heater, you need a permit, or replace your furnace, or add a fire place, or almost any other change. Oh yes, it is always couched under the guise that the government is doing it for our own good because they are so much smarter than you and so much more concerned for your own safety than you.

Even if you don’t live in California the EPA and the commerce clause or the FDA will take care of preventing almost anything you want to do unless you pay the government. Sometimes this involves very large sums of money. Maybe you want to put up a dam on your property, or cut down the trees; well that might affect some insect, fish, or mammal. This means that you need to have a study done at your expense which will almost always prevent you from doing what you want with YOUR property.

Even after your property is paid off you still have to pay the government rent for your property. (property taxes) if you don’t pay them rent they will kick you out and take your property, then sell it to someone else who will pay their rent.

Want to talk about Christ in school, well they made that against the law because they say the constitution says there is to be “separation of church and state” except this is nowhere in the constitution. They always focus on the establishment clause of the first amendment but seem to ignore the prohibition clause. They also ignore the fact that the first amendment is directly limiting the power of CONGRESS to PASS LAWS! It has nothing to do with a government official saying something. Government officials or employees can say all they want about religion without restriction, but congress can’t pass any laws codifying that!

It is as though people have lost the ability to read the constitution for themselves. As such they are seeing each of the first 10 amendments quickly eroded and with it they are losing the precious liberties our founding fathers fought and died for.

If you are not clear what some amendment means all you need to do is read the Federalist Papers which our founding fathers wrote when the proposed constitution was being written. It explains and defends quite clearly what each of the amendments was for and what they meant by it, but these things too have been ignored.

Our leaders do not care about these things. They feel the constitution is out of date and should be cast aside. They are afraid to say so directly. They swore to uphold it but they are doing everything in the power to destroy it and that without a peep from the people.

Jefferson said when people value their safety more than their freedom they shall have neither! But then what did they know. They are only the most brilliant political minds in history, who all came together and after much deliberation finally came up with the most powerful document of freedom and government ever written short of the Bible and yet they only get ridicule.

Our current leaders wouldn’t hope to write its equal. They dare not criticize it directly again so they just find ways to work around it rather than truly trying to defend it.

Abraham Lincoln said our nation would never die except by suicide and our leaders seem to be doing our best to bring that about.

Why do we keep voting these people back into office or others of the same ilk. Where are the leaders of character? Even the idea of character has been maligned by both our leaders and our educational system to the point that it is almost a dirty word.

We need a bevy of men like Dr. Ben Carson who are willing to run for office. We need Judges that will judge righteously and with common sense instead of looking for every loophole to get around what are common sense answers.

There are probably not more than 2 or 3 people in both the Senate and the House of Representatives worth keeping. Even such people as Rubio have said what they needed to say to fool the people into thinking they are truly men of values and are now turning their backs on those values they stated. It is time to get rid of these people from the public sector by voting them out at the first possible opportunity. Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein, and Harry Reid, and Pelosi are among the worst offenders.

Imagine a representative telling you, I’m not going to tell you what’s in my bill we need to vote it in and make it law so you can find out what’s in it and for some reason no outcry is raised about this statement. Does this really sound like responsible leadership.

Harry Reid has not created a budget in spite of the fact that it is required by law. Is there a penalty for breaking this law? Of course not since the people who are breaking the laws are the ones making them. They now view themselves as above the law and so we do not have EQUAL JUSTICE.

A famous line from Animal Farm, says, “Some are more equal than others” of course it was an analogy to communism but it sure seems to apply our current government.

If we replaced the people in government with common folks with common sense could we really do any worse than they are doing currently? Somehow I don’t think so. It takes guts and it takes will, but it is something that desperately needs to be done and soon if we are to save the Republic!
