Hypocrisy of Representatives and White House

I have two simple questions to ask those representatives who have screamed about peace and getting us out of wars for as long as I can remember, but now are in full support of an attack on Syria. These people always like to take the high moral ground or at least pretend they are. These people would have us believe the reason they are willing to send us to war yet again even though the American people clearly are opposed to it, is because gas was used. More specifically gas they tell us was used by Assad to gas his own people.
Here are my questions. Are they actually against the use of gas and getting the person or people responsible or is this really about something else?
Information is now coming out that it was the rebels that used the gas. If this is true then doesn’t this indicate based on our representatives’ moral stance that we should attack the rebels instead? This would certainly be the logic of the situation. I have little doubt that the use of gas is only an excuse for other political ends. I have equally little doubt that neither congress nor the president would have anything to do with attacking the rebels if it turns out they were responsible for the gas. It doesn’t fit there narrative.
Our representatives’ and president’s narrative has always been what I might consider a communist one, that any people that are rebelling must be the good guys and deserve our support. They have been looking for some reason to get involved in Syria and now they think they’ve been provided with what they need except that it is starting to come out now that it is quite possibly the rebels who gassed their own people. Whether they did it on purpose or accidently is not even really as much the issue as who did it. On top of this if it was accidently it still shows a great deal of carelessness and since the weapons were out in the open it is clear they had them out for some reason. Even if they were planning on using them on Assad’s men it doesn’t matter they were still the ones using the gas.
At some point we need to start to ask our representatives what is really motivating their actions. I do not know why we have come to accept dishonesty and deception from our representatives as though this is necessary behavior for someone in government. We need to demand people with principles as well as morals and ethics.
It also amazes me that we allow anyone that is a socialist or a communist in any position in government. Washington said that if a man support monarchy it was grounds for impeachment. This is because it was opposed to what was in the constitution. Well isn’t the same with the political philosophy of socialists and communists? So we do we have people who are representing us swearing to support the constitution when they’re already demonstrated and even plainly stated that they are opposed to it?!
