More Blame

Plenty of Blame to Go Around

It is clear that we have neither a media not a government that knows where the blame for what has happened to this economy really belong.

The media listens to and faithly reports whatever they are told to by the representatives and the president, but they seem either unable to analyze where the blame really belongs or they just love the fact that all the name calling and finger pointing increases viewership.

All the rest of us know where the blame belongs. It is with our government as a whole. Not only this president but at least the 3 past presidents have all faithfully signed into law every manner of new spending, that we can't afford. The congress has faithfully continue to pass bills that spend ever more of OUR money that we also can't afford, with the idea that there is no end to the borrowing the nation can do. They also feel there is no end to the money we can pay in taxes. Lastly our judicial system continues to come out with some of the most ridiculous rulings that give government ever more power to regulate us. If the judges feel something doesn't meet their liberal agenda they simply declare it unconstitutional. In some cases they have actually done the equivalent of writing their own laws by fiat in doing this.

Our entire government is to blame for what is happening in our nation. So, who are they going to blame now... Well the people of course. They now want to blame our economic situation on the people, namely the Tea Party. The Tea Party consists of just regular people. They do this by pointing to the problems they had passing the last bill.

The last spending/cutting bill that was passed was not the one that caused the problem and not one of the proposals put forward was going to fix the problem. Our leaders were not looking to fix the problem. In some cases they have actually been looking for ways to make it worse. I suppose they succeeded by raising the debt ceiling, which will now allow them to spend even more money WE don't have.

Be assured if the congress has money to spend or even has authorization to spend money they don't have they will do so and in the quickest possible way. In no time at all they will be back to what happened several weeks ago and wanting to raise the debt ceiling yet again.

Our governemnt is like a bunch of addicts, who are addicted to spending other people's money. Because they haven't had to work for it, it seems to be  no big deal how much of it they want to spend. They consider spending other people's money hard work. Well this might even be true if they were trying to do it responsibly.

Let's put the blame where it belongs on the government. Now I suppose in some senses it might be said the responsibility does fall at the door of the people; after all we did vote these people into office and in many cases, though I don't know why, we continue to vote them back into office.

We need to ask ourselves, "Have any of these people done such exemplary jobs that we really want them back in office next time.

Clearly the Elite in congress who have been there for many terms were surprised when the new "Tea Party" politicians came into office and actually started doing what they promised!" I personally find this very refreshing. We want to be able to believe our politicians and we have tacitly come to expect that you can't believe a word they say and that they have no sense of responsibility to full fill their promises. To them and to us they are nothing more than spin to win office.

We are to blame in some respects for voting for these people. So what I propose is to take responsibility and vote out the people that haven't kept their promises, or at least done everything humanly possible to do so.

If they see we are serious about this they won't be so quick to make promises they know they can't fulfill or have no intention of fulfilling.

We all need to take responsibility for what is happening to our economy. Sadly those in Washington never want to take responsibility. They want to take credit for the good things and place blame on everyone else for the bad things.

For them to say, "Well you voted for me." as thought his releases them from doing what is morally and ethically right won't wash any more.

With the economy the way it is we really don't have time to dally around. We need people who are serious about actually cutting REAL spending, not just cutting the rate of growth in new spending.

What does amaze me, and again the media just reports what they say without inserting common sense, is that the democrats have the gall to blame the republicans for stonewalling while the democrats offered nothing and flatly refused to even let some bills come to the floor in the senate simply because of who wrote them, while at the same time not offering anything themselves. If this isn’t hypocrisy I don’t know what is?!

Reid has flatly said anything that even smacks of Tea Party to him is dead on arrival. This kind of reasoning says that simply because a certain group offered some proposal it ought to be rejected out of hand. In some cases he didn’t even read what was sent over to them, just the fact that certain people offered it was enough reason to reject it and the same is true of Obama.

The reality is that the republicans adjusted and adjusted their proposal so many times that it ended up being nothing like what the PEOPLE wanted.

These people in Washington seem to forget they are there to do the will of the people.

If they have a disagreement with the priorities of the American people than there is a serious problem in Washington and we need to do everything we can to get every one of those people out of office that feels that way.

I must say I do find it interesting how the democrats can continue to call the republicans obstructionists about the budget and jobs when they offered not a single real plan, refused to even bring the republican plans to the floor of the senate, have refused almost everything the republicans wanted and yet at the same time offer nothing whatever. Who really is the obstructionist? Who was it that wouldn't even allow the republicans in the room while they were making their back room deals that they were saying we had to vote on just to find out what was in them?

Yet with all of this the media never questions it or confronts them on their false charges of obstructing. The media is unwilling to ask WHY there has been no budget in conflict with the law from the democrats? Why it was they found it more important to force through Obama's health care rather than deal with the budget and spending while they had control, which is what led us to the place we're at now. The media leave this up to our non-representing representatives to do. Even then, at best, they bring in 2 representatives to argue and question each other more than to actually ask them the hard questions. We desperately need a media that will ask the hard questions and make every effort to get real answers.

Am I the only person who finds it surprising that every time a representative is asked a question he proceeds to ignore it and make a statement about something that wasn't even being asked? The media person doesn't even seem to notice or at least they act like they don't notice. As a result it turns into not more than allowing a representative to say whatever he wants without being questioned about it at all.

It has become about nothing more than representatives blaming each other. Well I have to say the childish, 3rd grade, "he did it!" game is getting really old, or the ever famous, "well he did it too." as though this makes it OK or in any way excuses what they did. But still the media remains silent. I suppose this is because there is some sense of guilt on their side knowing that they have also failed in their jobs and they just keep hoping no one will notice, rather than getting to their jobs the way they're supposed to.

Enough of the blame! Show some real responsibility and actually do something rather than making excuses for why things weren't done!
