Tea Party Extremist are Normal Americans

The "Tea Party Extremist" we hear about from Washington Elites and the media are NORMAL AMERICANS. The EXTREMISTS are in WASHINGTON!

It is interesting to say the least that now even the republicans and the media are reporting the typical liberal, progressive tripe about the Tea Party Extremists. They talk about it like the Tea Party was an actual political party. Worse still they have forgotten that all the Tea Party is, is a movement of average Americans that have finally gotten fed up with government out of control, both in spending and in regulation.

The Tea Party is NOT a political party. It is average Americans who want back their America the way the founding fathers gave it to us.

Why is it that no one in the media including Fox News challenges representatives when they make a statement about the extreme view of the Tea Party, why don't they ask what is extreme about only spending money on things you have money for? What is extreme about asking people to be responsible with their debt? What is extreme about not wanting to sink the nation in debt.

The views of the media and the Washington elite are so out of whack with reality it is frightening. Since has doing the responsible thing been considered extreme. As mentioned when they say Tea Party and use derrogatory terms like extreme to describe them they are really calling the American people extreme.

Every American out to be outraged by this behavior both from the media and the Washington elite.

It is not like you apply for a membership card. It is not even like you have to go to a rally or be conservative. Though the media paints the Tea Party as nothing but extreme conservatives it is made up of a mix of almost every strata of the political spectrum.

It is like Obama blaming the political system. He is basically saying there is something wrong with the American form of government. If he meant there was something wrong with the people in Washngton, he would be absolutely correct, but then he should also remember that HE IS ONE OF THE PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON!

As for the gall of such a one as Harry Reid, to talk about this whole situation being the fault of the republicans; while neither he nor any other democrat has proposed any plan or at least any serious plan to actually fix the problem. He makes sure to TABLE any plans sent to the senate and yet it is somehow the fault of the republicans. Is anyone really buying this?

It seems not ONE of the establishment Washington people can stand the idea of actually cutting real spending in the here and now. This is the reason we're in the shape we're in.

They're all trying to figure out how to word a bill that they hope will make no really changes in Washington at all, but will look like it does so they can present it to the American people, claim they did something and not lose their constituency.

This insanity has to stop. We don't want to them to cut the rate of GROWTH in spending. We want them to cut back on real spending. We want them to spend less this year than they did last year. If that means some things need to go I would hope they would be able to prioritize what the real job of the Gov't is.

But this is the problem, republicans and democrats alike hold progressive views. They believe it IS the job of government to take care of people in their old age. They believe it is the job of government to provide health care, they believe it is the job of government to provide for people who are out of work. They even believe it is the job of government to see how fast shrimp can run on treadmills.

If our founders really felt these things were suppose to be the job of government would they have written it into the original constitution?

We need to stop redefinin words and thus making them meaninless and useless. When normal people talk about cutting spending they mean just that, but when Washington uses the word they don't mean that at all. They mean cutting the rate of ncrease in spending, so that they're still spending more than they were before, but just not as much more as they planned on spending.

The media doesn't call them on this, and because most people don't even know who their congressman is they certainly wouldn't know how they've tortured the English language so that they can use a word mean one thing by it, but know the the people will understand it to mean what it has always meant. This is their way of justifying to themselves that the American people are really behind them.

The American people are only behind them because they think the people in Washington are genuinely behind them and are doing what the people want them too. All the while nothing could be further from the truth.

Our leaders are fiddling while Rome burns. Anyone that could spend our hard earned money on shrimp treadmills is a person that could vote for a horse to be a senator. We are in the days of the fall of Rome and don't even recognize it. All our leaders are concerned about is managing the decline of our Nation not preventing it and the media isn't helpng any.

Compromise or Betrayal?

It is always hard to gauge what is good compromise and what is betrayal. Not having read the whole proposal it is a little hard to determine just what is in the Boehner proposal. Ron Paul has said that Boehner’s proposal will increase the debt by another 7 trillion dollars, yet Boehner speaks constantly about lowering the debt yet his bill is going to increase. Yes it is true that he has tucked away in the bill the balanced budget amendment but that could be 8 years off and may never be.

We are in a situation at this point where something needs to be done now. What Boehner’s plan does is gives the government the ability to expand the debt immediately with a false promise of debt reduction over the next 10 years that will actually increase the debt. I don’t understand what we’re getting out of this.

Even if we get a balanced budget 8-10 years from now out of it, by then the nation will already be finally ruined.

It seems to me that Boehner is just another progressive in republican clothing. He says all the right things but what is he doing. Even Laura Ingram seems to be taking Boehner’s side because of the whole crisis thing, which Obama has masterfully engineered again. He seems to be the master of generating catastrophes that require some immediate decision before anyone has seen them or been able to consider all their ramifications. They then cram them down our throat and tell us how good or at least necessary they are.

It seems this is yet another disaster waiting to happen. All the progressives know all they have to do is hold out for a couple of years on the current disastrous path and the nation will finally be destroyed.

Do not fool yourself the progressives have been working toward this for a very long time. Obama has refused to sign anything or even present anything solid so it always leaves it on republicans to keep changing what they present. This is absurd. Yet the spin in the media is that the republicans are the obstructers.

We are expected to take yet another emergency measure and deal with the fallout 5 or 10 years from now in the name of compromise. The entire plan except the balanced budget amendment seems more like betrayal than compromise.

The Tea Party caucus and the Tea Party as a whole are now being vilified for being obstructionists. What is so unthinkable about just cutting out all the extra spending and government? We certainly don’t need or even want all the excessive spending on absurd programs going on. So what if government employees actually have to enter the private market like the rest of us. WE CAN’T AFFORD THEM! What is it about this they don’t get?

Sooner or later it has to happen. Why is none of this in any of the bills by Boehner? The people are screaming about all the wasteful spending and all of congress is not listening.

It is true I am no fan of social security or any of the other government handout programs. Granted we have paid into social security and those funds were supposed to be set aside for our retirement, the same is true of Medicare and the like, but these things are still not the job of the government. Even with all of this there is still so much waste and duplication in the federal government as well as far more employees than we should need to run a federal government that was designed to be small and unobtrusive that I’m sure we could get rid of trillions by getting rid of these things.

Boehner swore he was going to get Obama Care repealed, but according to his bill it looks like he’s settled in to the idea that it’s here to stay. He uses it as a trigger so that it will go down if the terms of the budget are not met. This means he has not only accepted that it is going to be there, but also that in some ways he needs it there as a threat to keep the budget adhered to.

The problems with this are several. First Obama Care is unconstitutional. It seems that fact is getting by Boehner. Second once it is implemented there will be no reversing or getting rid of it, they will only feel the obligation to find some way to fund that as well. This is the never ending expansion of government which Boehner seems accepting of as the democrats.

Boehner is nothing less than another progressive in republican clothing. If his plan is implemented it will likely be the final nail in the coffin.

Why is it that congress can never announce any immediate REAL cuts, jobs done away with, spending programs canceled that we really don’t need anyway, etc., that take place right now? Why can they never be specific? Everything is finding a way to continue to fund all the things they’ve already passed! This is business as usual and it is what has brought us to this place.

The other problem with Boehner’s plan is that it allows for 1.4 trillion in immediate borrowing a lot of which will be used to support Obama Care and ensure it is with us for generations.

This insanity needs to stop now! Do I want to see the nation default? Absolutely not!

This is the way it’s always presented, but it isn’t a choice of raise the debt ceiling or see the country default.

IT IS a choice of not raise the debt ceiling and prioritize immediately how to pay the bills for the things most essential including our debt and get rid of the rest of the debt weight immediately!

If you have the choice due to your debt of losing your house or selling your Porsche I would hope you chose to get rid of the car as well as cutting back on all the extra non ESSENTIALS, and even selling other things you had so the money you had coming in would pay for the home, food, gas and a basic car.

Our poor non-representing representatives don’t seem to understand this concept. The reason for this is that they are the elites and they have always behaved this way. Most of them are quite wealthy by almost anyone’s standard and they really don’t worry about budgeting, only how to use their new found power to funnel yet more money in the direction.

This is the common sense the rest of us all recognize, but those in Washington are completely blind too. Boehner start cutting real spending, real programs and even real government jobs and positions effective immediately if you’re serious about cutting the budget.

The person who says they’ll sell their Porsche to save their house after it’s paid for as well as buying the new Ferrari they just have to have this year, is certainly not interested in serious budgeting, only the appearance of budgeting. They can’t call it a cut in spending because they were going to do a world tour they’re not going on now. Yes that prevents them from getting any deeper, but does nothing to get them out of the hole they’re already in, especially when they’re still spending money on other things they can’t afford!

Do you people in Washington get this at all?!!!

CUT THE SPENDING NOW! Not 5 or 10 years from now! Is your re-election really more important than the nation? If it is then you are not a person who should be holding office or be re-elected for any public service since it is only self service and not public service at all!

Who's To Blame?

It is so interesting to me that the president is asked who would be to blame if people didn't get their Social Security checks, or the military didn't get paid due to this debt crisis. He promptly lays it at the door of the house republicans, and the media don't ask him why he wouldn't be to blame since he is the one who has refused everything they've offered and has not offered anything himself.

In the very n next sentence he goes on to say that he doesn't want to blame anyone and then follows that with more minutes of blame.

We have a president who is quite good on blame and very poor on responsibility. I would say you have to wonder how such a man who knows nothing of responsibility could become president. I can see how he got other places in government. He's never had to or seemingly been able to be responsible with anything else in his life except maybe community organizing, so what else could a person who can't run a business, or hold an executive position in a company do? Well run for office, after all in government incompetence doesn't seem to matter at all.

Where you would think and hope some of the most competent people in the nation would be the ones running things it seems to have turned out to be just the other way around.

It is also surprising to me that the whole time he denigrate the republicans he acts like he's trying to work out a deal with them and they just won't do it. I can't think of many that would in those circumstances. For some reason the republicans all act like they're taking the hire ground by not criticizing their opponents or showing how they're failing or are to blame, then they wonder why they come out of it looking like the bad guys.

Unfortunately the republicans seem to have no spine at all when it comes to conflict and standing up for themselves and what they believe. Every time they cave in they behave again as though they are taking the higher ground, but the way it is spun is that they realized they were wrong, and again they don't even defend themselves in this.

Maybe the republicans just view their position as pacifiers. They are supposed to look like they're fighting for the people and against big government so at least the people feel like there's someone there in Washington for them. They must realize that if WE THE PEOPLE, came to realize they were all for bigger government and socialism to one degree or another there might be a revolt.

It helps to keep people docile as long as they feel there are at least some people fighting for their position.

Obama sounds more than willing to not only let the country to into default, but if possible to drive it into one and then surprise surprise he'll even find a way to blame it on the republicans and won't take an ounce of responsibility for it.

It is rather like watching a British comedy, where the man says, "I'm not saying your stupid..... Stupid, though you are stupid, but person I think you're very bright, you dim wit." What the president did today was just that obvious and it was equally obvious that the media didn't call him out on it in their questions. They just ate it up and faithfully reported every word he said. Well maybe they reported them faithfully, unless of course he made a gaff or the like in which case I'm sure damage control would be in overdrive as it always is.

It is time some put the pressure on the president for a little responsibility and compromise. He is a man who knows nothing about compromise or working with people. He is a narcissist. It is either his way or no way and then of course in his mind and the media's it's the other sides fault because they didn't give the spoiled child president everything he wanted.

Sometimes I feel like I'm watching 12 year olds in charge of the nation. They think the money comes out of thin air and they can spend as much as they want and the citizens will just have more to give. There is almost no concept of adult responsibility. The few sane voices like Paul Ryan, Michele Bachmann, Sara Palin, Rick Perry, and a few others are laughed off as irrelevant or extremists that certainly no one is going to back.

Maybe the president considers responsibility extremist, but it is clearly just what it is RESPONSIBLE.

We need to get these people out of office as quickly as we can. At this point it's beginning to look as though the next election may be too late. They're all determined to drive the United States under so they can "TRANSFORM" the United States.

It would seem they've read the founding father enough to understand that if we lose our liberty we won't get back and they're depending on the ignorance of the American people to let them take our freedom thinking we've never lost it before and thus assume it can't happen now. Our founders understood only too well that our liberty could be lost. It was the reason they recognized he right to own and BEAR firearms. It was there hope that we WHEN, not IF the time came when the government started to turn on the people, IF the people still had the will to keep their liberty that they would also have the means.

Thankfully it has not come to that yet, but the American people need to get busy putting pressure on our leaders to begin acting responsibly. Why do we have Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Lynn Woolsey, Diane Feinstein, and many others back in office? Did they really do such a great job that we want them to do more of the same?!

Let's get rid of the ones that only know how to spend our money, but know nothing of responsibility. It is a game to them, it is LIFE and liberty to us!

This blame thing has to stop. The president needs to be called on it when he does it as do any others. GET THE PROBLEM OF OUT OF CONTROL SPENDING SOLVED!

Debt Talks

The Responses from the administration and the lack of serious critical coverage by the news about anyone but the republicans has been one of the most absurd situations I can remember. For some reason the media, Fox included only see and repeat the side the democrats put forward; that the republicans are pushing this to a crisis.

For some unknown reason there is almost no mention of the democrats not only being the party of NO as they have rejected every bill put to them, but they are also the party of irresponsibility in that this really falls far more on them than on republicans as they have not even offered a budget in 2 years and they refuse any budget submitted to them. Yet somehow this is the fault of the republicans? Everyone continues to repeat the party line that this is because the republicans refuse to compromise.

It is impossible to compromise with a party that offers nothing concrete. All they do is say no to everything you offer and then continue to press that you need to give more with no specific end in view when you will have done enough. For unexplained reasons this has actually worked in the past it and may be why they continue to do it. The pressure continues to be on the republicans to keep giving. It is rather like watching what the Palestinians do to the Israelis. They are asked to give and give and it is never enough. They are just expected to keep giving because the other side is not satisfied with what they've gotten so far.

The Republicans have become the party of appeasement. At this point I'm quite confident they will just continue to give in. It is like watching a dysfunctional family with serious co-dependent issues.

Timothy Geitner was asked many times if they have any specific plans of who will get there checks if we get past the deadline for the debt talks. He did nothing but dodge and continue with veiled threats of that some people would suffer. Basically this is either saying they don't have any plans, or they plan to make sure that people don't get their social security and military checks so the pressure will be on the republicans, because clearly it's their fault that nothing go done even though they're the only ones offering plans, or they do plan to make sure all the right people get what they're supposed to but they don't want to say that for strategic political reasons. If they said they were going to do the responsible thing people would be reassured, the markets would be reassured and there would be no more pressure on the republicans to continue to compromise to the point of making whatever they settle on completely impotent.

These are not games they should be playing with the American economy. It is like they want crisis. At almost every turn the White House has either created or at least declared crisis every time they want something and so far it has worked every time. Why wouldn't they keep doing the same thing? It gives the republicans cover so they can say, "We had to do something, and though it's not the best, at least it got us through..."

The worst thing is that I believe both sides understand they should take responsibility for the initial predicament we're in, but both are more interested in pointing fingers than actually getting the problems resolved even if it means doing the unpopular but right thing. As many have said, we simply don't have the money. Whether people like it or not, sooner or later people aren't going to get their checks because the congress has been willing to promise every benefit under the sun, presented them all as free or gifts from the government as though they don't realize the money has to come from somewhere.

The insanity has to stop somewhere and if our leaders don't take some decisive action fairly quickly to seriously get the debt under control the crisis actually will be a real crisis and one that we may never recover from.

We the people of the United States ought to start acting like adults as well and stop demand all kinds of "free" stuff from the government and tell them to just stop it. We as individuals can live without some of those benefits but out nations cannot survive with them.

Increasing the Limit The National Debt

Our government has proven that they are very good at spending money but they simply can’t bring themselves to cut spending anywhere. Why is it that they can’t bring themselves to cut spending? It’s not like any of these things go into their household.

What they get out of it is to be elected for another year. I honestly believe they feel they are performing the common good for the people. The problem is that they think they are the social engineers that are to design our society in what they feel this the best way of doing it. They have utopian ideas they feel they are obligated to at least give a try. The reality is that most of these things have already been tried before and they have never worked. They keep trying them think that if they just tweak them enough that they’ll get what they’ve been looking for. The reality is that no amount of tweaking is going to change human nature and this is the thing they think they can change.

Our founding fathers understood only too well what human nature was like and they understood that it was always the thing that got in the way as well as that it was something that could not be changed. People are people. They can’t change. Greed is what it is. You can’t regulate it away. These men were religious men almost to a one. They may have held different religious ideas of who God was but for the most part they knew what man was. They knew that man would not change short of an act of God which happens infrequently at best.

Because of this they saw that they had to form a government in such a way that these things offset each other through a series of what they called checks and balances. Overall I would say that they did a pretty good job. They set enough things in place that it would take a fairly concerted effort for the system to be overcome. This is what we see happening now.

They also foresaw that banking and the ability to print as much money as they wanted could ultimately be the ruin of our nation we well. They understood that printing all that money being covered by nothing more than the faith and good will of the people would eventually come crashing down. They tried as much as they could to put things in place to prevent this. It is one of the reasons that they put it in the constitution that money was only supposed to be gold and silver coin. In this way fiat money could not be created. The problem is that our non-representing representatives from long ago decided that section of the constitution either didn’t exist or didn’t apply.

They decided a central bank was required and for some reason they also determined that this bank would not answer to anyone but themselves. This certainly doesn’t sound like the wisdom of our forefathers at work. It sounds more like the pressure of some small group of people who saw their opportunity in dealing with a bunch of representatives who knew nothing of economics, the budget or business. Thus was created the Federal Reserve which has more or less been with us for over 100 years.

The Federal Reserve is now issuing ultimatums to the government and our non-representing representatives don’t know what to do with them. So far it has worked out already, though the government has been aware all along that they’re not really in control and they’re afraid to do anything about it.

Ron Paul is one of the few people who has been willing to say anything about the federal reserve and in his case he always harkens back to the constitution something so few others are willing to do. Why are people so afraid to discuss the constitution? Why do they behave as though it is something that is out of date and therefore untrustworthy in some way? The constitution in many respects is timeless in its own way. These men saw well into the future. They understood only too well about such things as debt.

Our founders talked about not putting the nation’s debt on the next generation. They worked hard to produce something that would not allow that to happen. For some reason many of the people we’ve chosen as leaders hold the constitution in disdain. They feel that it is outdated. They decry the constitution as though it were a failure, yet they swear an oath to defend and uphold it, all the while seeking ways to do away with it or overcome it in any area they don’t like.

It is odd again there is so little reporting on Indiana, a state that is no posting over $400 million dollars in surplus due to cuts in government spending. They didn’t raise taxes at all. What they did was slim the budget down to much lower rates, they cut back where they could and now they have a comfortable surplus. I’m sure given the same circumstances with the federal government the first thing they’d do with that surprise surplus is look for places to spend it, after all they certainly couldn’t consider cutting back even more on taxes if they didn’t really need the money.

They always have to show that not only do they need all the money they’re taking in, but they need at least 25%-40% more than that. This is how they justify all the taxes they want to keep taking from the people. Of course they tell us all this money is for our good, but as I’ve said in many other places, “why do we need shrimp treadmills?”

Fiscal responsibility is a part of spiritual responsibility. The scripture tells us to owe no many anything except to love him. This being the case I think it is safe to assume that the same is true of the responsibilities of our government.

It would seem the debt limit means little to anyone. It was reported at Brietbart.com today that:

“… foreign investors don't seem too concerned. They bought $38 billion in U.S. government debt in May, increasing their holdings 0.6 percent to $4.51 trillion, the Treasury Department said Monday.

This even though the U.S. reached its $14.3 trillion borrowing limit in May. And the Treasury says Congress now has just 14 days to raise that borrowing limit or the government will default.”
So they are allowing the debt to increase regardless of what congress does. Once again the congress is showing that it has become meaningless in the politics of America. As one third of the balance of power in our nation they are not doing their job at all. They vote for things that increase the debt and don’t deal with other things that have not been authorized. I suppose they’ll just tack this on to the debt limit they know and have already determined they’re going to raise. They’ll just include it as part of the new limit and act as though it was part of the original negotiations.

This is just one example of how the debt has gotten away from us. Our media is still doing nothing to combat this situation at all. I wonder if we’re ever going to get this under control. Even the media has realized they are overusing such terms as kicking the can down the road.

Most do not really consider just how serious our debt really is. Following are the real numbers.

Total Unfunded Promises and Liabilities
14,500,000,000,000    Total Liabilities
7,700,000,000,000    Social Security
31,000,000,000,000    Medicare (A,B)
7,200,000,000,000    Medicare (D)
2,000,000,000,000    Miscellaneous
62,400,000,000,000

Now just consider this for a moment. This amounts to over 200,000 for every man woman and child in the United States. Will you ever get that much back from the government? So then you have to ask yourself, “What are they doing with it? For a family of 4 this amounts to almost 1 million dollars. Does this seem reasonable at all? Does this seem responsible? I just can’t see how anyone can justify this kind of spending. What exactly are we getting for all that money?

Why is there no serious call to our leaders for a real explanation, not a lot of political speak that really says nothing. This is the reason we have the size of government today that we have. We have not been willing to demand accountability from our government. We have happily let them spend our money. Their method of extracting the money is probably one of the most ingenious methods of collecting taxes in the history of the world. They make our employers into tax collectors taking out our taxes before we ever see the money and so we don’t miss it nearly as much.

If our congress would do nothing else I can only wish that they would do away with tax withholding so every American had to write a check to the government every month. I have little doubt that if that happened we would have a tax revolt in this nation so quickly it would make your head spin. No doubt we would get rid of the IRS in short order as well as many other changes that should have been made a long time ago.

We desperately need to demand more from our leaders. If we do not our nation is going to cave in before much longer and when that happens there will be no recovery. We have been free for so long and for the most part almost no one living remembers the great depression and so we have come to think it cannot happen to us. Worse we think at the most we would end up in another great depression and of course we’ll come out of it like we did last time. Maybe people are forgetting what got us out the last time was a war. Yes, we had an incredibly progressive society at that time as well that was trying to bring Marxism, or communism to our nation, at the very least some form of socialist government. But back then it only had about 10 years to go. Socialism is now far more ingrained in our society than it has ever been before and it is not likely we are going to see our way out of this unless we are willing to really fight back and stop being so politically correct all the time.

Political correctness, which is just another word for propaganda and intimidation are nothing but a method of control. Modern advertisers and publicity people have turned this tool into a fine art, but and because it looks to be mostly motivated by sales we do not think in terms of just how dangerous it is. We need to call it what it is propaganda!

This same propaganda war now rages regarding our economy. You almost have to wonder from listening to the way the media and our non-representing representatives spin it what is right. Rather than listen to their words look at the results of their actions. Are we better off today either as individuals, as a nation, or as a business/working environment than we were 20 years ago?

I know the younger people today don’t really even remember 20 year ago, except as children who let their parents worry about such things as the economy, but we need to face it, the economy is not healthy, our nation is not healthy, and our business environment is also not healthy. Something needs to be done about this.

Congress Abdicates Responsibility

Once again it seems we have a congress that is trying to give up its constitutional right and responsibility to maintain some power. They say they don't like what president Obama is doing and then we get someone like Mitch McConnell who wants to give him even more power to do that which they want to do but are unwilling to do because they know it is political poison.

Wanting to give more power to the president to raise the debt ceiling is not something the congress can do. They can't simply legislate away their constitutional responsibility. But it goes beyond this. The fact that a republican and serveral other republicans are willing to do this shows they ultimately they must know that he will do it and when he does they will blame him, for doing what they gave him the power and encouragement to do.

Are these really the people we want in congress? They need to show some guts and do the hard things we sent them there to do. We are running out of time. It is not like we can just get rid of them now. We still have to suffer with most of this lot for at least another year and a half and they can do a lot of damage during that time.

Sadly it seems that their intent is to do damage!

The senate which is still controlled by democrats certainly aren't about to pass ANY spending cuts. They just can't bring themselves to do that. All they want to do is take more of our money to spread around on ridiculous things, studies on the size of gay men's penis. watching shrimp run on treadmills and the list goes on. These people clearly have no conscience. They desperately need to be removed from office but do we really have the time to do that?

They behave as though they don't realize how grave the situation is.

At every turn the congress tries to make themselves more irrelevant than before. They allow the president to select tons of czars, positions not even authorized in the constitution. The constitution is also quite clear that congress must consent to these things yet they are more than comfortable not saying anything and then just hoping to blame it on others. They want the power to run our lives, but not the responsibility to protect them. They want all the fun stuff the constituton offers them as well as all the fame for their positions, but they don't want any of the responsibility for their decisions. Because of this, anything that might reflect on them negatively and affect their being re-elected they simply want to give to someone else to decide what to do. Again the problem with this is that those other people are not people who should have this power.

The power to raise the debt ceiling was not meant to be vested in just one man. It was given to the congress because it was felt that in the multitude of counselors there is wisdom. If it were not for the fact that Solomon said this I would begin to doubt the wisdom of it, at least where this group is concerned.

Are these men really best men suited to the job for which they have been called? Are these men really better and more honorable than other men? Do we really want men and women like this running our nation. These are people who seem to care nothing for honor, nothing for the real concerns of the American people, yet seem to think that we might be interested in penis, and shrimp on treadmills? Are they serious! Would you spend your money on this kind of research? if you would then you deserve to be penniless! I for one am not for this at all, but of course we have little choice because the government now takes as much as like or feel they need and we do nothing but let them continually take more. We even keep voting the same people back into off term after term who have done nothing but htis kind of thing for a very long time.

What really would our founding fathers think of them men and women that we've chosen to represent us. I honestly don't think they're anything to write home about. Some of the new ones we put in place are saying the right things and seem to be taking the stands that we sent them there too take, but we still have far too many progressive republicans and democrats (read communist/Marxist/socialist/collectivist) representatives who are more than happy to ignore the constitution and set it aside at every opportunity for us to long stand the pressure they are no applying.

Our congress, both republicans and democrats need to hear from us and they need to hear we want them obeying the constitution. Do you know most of them have no idea what is in the constitution?!

Repeal Obama Care

In all these debt negotiations there is little or no talk of getting rid of Obama Care, something the republicans vowed to do. Now would be a perfect time to either repeal it outright or do what the democrats do, add just one line into some other bill that was far too long for them to read that would repeal it.

It is clear that at least to some degree the Obama Care bill is going to add trillions in entitlements over coming years. This is part of what adds up to the extreme budge we have, yet our leaders are looking for every other area of the economy too touch.

This is one entitlement we don't need. We haven't even become used to it yet since it hasn't kicked in. I can't think of a better time to work on repealing it than now. Why is there at least not discussion about this. Surely there is no one in congress that can claim we're taking any benefits away from anyone since they haven't gotten them yet. They also can't deny the cost we've already gone over this a 1000 times when we were just trying to find out what that cost would be.

It is as though the health care issue has completely dropped of the radar of both the news and the representatives. It's just one more thing that makes me wonder how serious the republicans ever were about getting rid of it.

Can we really afford government healthcare at this time?

Now Pelosi Knows What's in a Bill

Nancy Pelosi we weren't going to balance the budget on the backs of Social Security and Medicare recipients. I'm surprised. This is a woman who didn't even read her own bill or know what was in it, but now knows what's in a bill before it's even been written or presented.

The democrats give the republicans so much ammunition and yet they never take advantage of it. Challenge her to say where in the bill it's going to hurt those receiving Social Security or Medicare. I'm quite sure that she hasn't even read the bill and therefore would not have any idea where in the bill it said it was going to affect those on those programs.

Why is it that no one challenges her on these things. The media doesn't challenge her and the republicans don't challenge her which of course only makes her claims sound credible. They should make her look like a fool when she says that stuff. She certainly won't be able to answer. Here's another idea tell her she has to pass the bill to find out what's in it! But then the republicans would never do that.

Why are the republicans always on the defense even when they're in the right. They are like co-dependent domestic abuse victims. Always declaring their love for the other party, and afraid to accuse them of anything. Come on wimps, pull of the gloves and get to it. You have a job to do and it isn't going to get done as long as you're whimpering. Make the case and don't back down. Don't just be defensive, go on the attack.

Another Crisis - Another Deadline

It would seem since the beginning of the Obama administration our congress has taken to what I call crisis legislation. Everything is left to the last minute. It's not like they didn't see this stuff coming and have time to back, but what they do is wait till the last minute.

Now that it's the last minute they declare it's such a crisis that they've got to do something, They offer some bill that is 2000 plus pages that seemingly was written over night and is of course just what is needed to avert the crisis. No one seems to know what's in the bill, and it invariably turns out to be horrible legislation. Of course the congress is careful to write into the bill things that won't touch them.

This is what we are expected to accept. Why has the House of Representatives not presented bill after bill since the budget and spending are their responsibility.

So far the House of Representatives doesn't seem to have done any meaningful legislation in any other areas. It's like they can only work on one thing at a time. didn't they promise they were going to repeal Obama Care, but all they did was present one bill that went nowhere. They've allowed the White House to dictate what they will talk about and deal with, or they've been willing accomplices to it. Either way they're not doing anything about what is going to happen to what gets foisted on us as far as health care.

Now they're playing Russian Roulette with the budget. Of course the democrats NEVER offered any budget during their term in control.

Boehner was ready to deal and do what the democrats wanted him to do, which is just one more sign that the republicans don't really think any different than the democrats do. This has been typical for them all along.

I can't help but wonder what a disaster the final bill they settle on will be. I have little doubt it will be bloated, the size of several bibles stacked on top of each other and will probably leave things as bad as they were or worse.

Our elitist leaders are master of misdirection and the good cop/bad cop routine.

It's a crisis only because our leaders have made it one.

Narcissist in Chief

Many have said that our president is a narcissist, but nothing more clearly shows this than the way he behaves when he doesn't get his way. He seems to feel the position of president is equal to king. If he says something people should just jump to do it.

I think he came into office think whatever he said would be law and people would just do it, after all he is the King... er I mean president, with a small "p" in his case.

He didn't like what he heard from the Prime Minister of Israel, so he walked out to go have dinner with his family. The next time around he met with the Prime minister of Israel for one day, knew he wasn't going to get his way again and left on a trip to Europe for more presidential adulation.

Now he's not getting what he wants in the debt talks and seems to think the fact that he said it will make it so and is finding out there are other branches of government that he doesn't RULE! So what does our president do? Like a six year old who thinks the world revolves around him, he storms out in a temper tantrum.

I can't help but wonder if in the next room he wasn't on the floor pounding his fist and crying, telling Michelle it just isn't fair and he wants his tax hike. What a poor excuse for a president and a leader. He is more like a dictator than a leader except that thankfully he hasn't managed to get rid of the congress yet, though sadly he's made them almost irrelevant.

He gets to declare war, a violation of Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, he issues executive order after executive order bypassing congress. He uses the EPA to issue regulations because congress can't get those same things passed as laws. He appoints czars without the consent of congress, also required by the constitution.

You get the impression this man loathes the Constitution, which he has as much as said, yet without any fallout.

This man's ego seems to know no bounds. He won't stand for people that disagree or worse oppose his political views or actions. He feels he shouldn't be question. He is used to intimidation methods from his community organizing days and for the first time some of our congressional members are actually showing some stones to stand up against him.

Before this when congressional members demanded information from him he just ignored them and they did nothing about it. This has been the pattern and in this case I'm pleasantly surprised to see our congress actually standing up to him and doing their job as the third branch of government.

It is long past the time that congress stood up to this president. They need to DEMAND more accountability from the president.

Does our congress really consent to all the czars he's picked.? Are they OK with him declaring war, when he does not have that power Constitutionally? Are they OK with him allowing or even authorizing the Fast and Furious program?

Where is our congress? A president who acts unconstitutionally is violating his oath of office! Get the man out! DEMAND answers! The media isn't going to do it!

Nancy Pelosi - Raising the Debt Limits 5 Times

Nancy Pelosi says she doesn't see what the problem is, after all she's voted to raise the debt ceiling 5 times. This is because Nancy Pelosi, like Barbara Boxer, Harry Reid, Diane Feinstein, and so many other democrats don't see that anything should hamper government spending or growth. Just keep voting to borrow more money as well as to take more money from the American people.

Nancy Pelosi seems to think the American people have endless amounts of money to give. Of course this isn't really true. They do however, believe in the Cloward/Pivens view of bring this country to its knees to it can be transformed into a Marxist/socialist/communist style government.

They are so determined to spend more of our money and to tax us more with the excuse that we're not paying our fair share. After all they have so many good ideas of what to do with our money.

They always pose it like it is the rich that aren't paying enough. They make you look at how much they're taking from you, and then emphasize that there are others that make far more than you, but pay the same rate. Of course none of this is true. The rich do a pay a much higher rate.

You need to look at what they're taking out of your check ever pay period! It's a shell game. In my case they are taking out over $1800/month. THAT'S A MORTGAGE PAYMENT in California! No it's not all "income tax" but it still all goes to the government and not to my bank account!

Are you really that satisfied with what they take out of your check? When was the last time you looked at how much they actually get?

Why aren't you demanding that they lower your rate. Don't forget when they promise to soak the rich they NEVER talk in real terms how much lower YOUR tax will be. This is because they don't plan on lowering yours they just want to get ever more so they can spend ever more!

They want you to believe that it is always the republicans that are saying no. It is the republicans that are going to make it so you don't get your Social Security check, or your health care, or so many other things.

Ask yourself. Who have offered positive solutions to the debt crisis and who has said nothing but no? Who has offered a budget? Who has said no?

The democrats have not offered a budget (which they're required to do by law, so they're breaking the law) in over 2 years. Now all they want to do is stand in the way of anything that would actually fix the problem THEY created. They are more interested in spin than reining in their spending.

Rome is burning and we have Reid, Pelosi, and Obama fiddling. We'll just take the cake from the rich and give it to the poor. "Let them eat cake!"

These people view themselves as aristocrats, and rulers, not as representatives.

Of course we've helped create this problem by constantly voting the same people back into office in spite of the fact that they can't show they've done anything we're all that thrilled with. They speak out of both sides of their mouth and only succeed at setting the American people against each other.

Let's go green they say on energy, and then get the environmentalists so stand in the way of anything proposed. Let's stop our dependence on foreign oil they say, and then won't let us drill any of our own... doesn't that only leave foreign oil?!

These non-representing representatives are out of their minds. They live in glass towers. They are the rich that they say they want to tax to death, all the while exempting themselves from every law they pass that we have to follow. They've made themselves exempt from their own health care plan that the rest of us MUST buy!

And here we have Pelosi boasting that she voted to raise the debt ceiling 5 times an doesn't see any problem with doing it more. But she doesn't have any suggestion or even recognition that they have to rein in the spending, only find new ways to tax the people more.

Pelosi acts as though our debt is our fault and so we're the ones that need to pay. It's only our fault in so far as we keep voting these people back in office.

If the republicans dare to cave on what they've promised, and I fear they will since in most cases they are no better than the democrats, then they will also need to be out of office as quickly as possible.

Well enough of my rant for the day, but please take a look at what the government is taking out of your next couple of paychecks and ask yourself if you really feel what you get for it is worth it. Instead of blaming the rich, blame the politicians who feel they have every right to as much of YOUR money as they need for shrimp treadmills and the like.

Lopsided Reporting Democratic Plan

Why is it that it is always about what the republicans are going?

What are the democrats offering? All the democrats offer is criticism of what the republicans are offering.

Have the Democrats offered a budge in the last almost 2 years? NO! It is their duty to have a budge, but while they were in control of the both houses all they could find time for is more spending but nothing about a budget?

Have the democrats offered any budget even still? NO!

Have they offered an alternative to Paul Ryan's plan? NO!

Who really is the party of NO! They are the party of NO restraint, NO cutting of budgets, NO end of spending! NO counter offers! NO civility, though they act as though it is their personal domain.

The democrats in congress and in the presidential suite have nothing to offer but criticism of what others do offer!

The president is so full of himself he uses walking out of his office to display disdain that anyone would pressure him to do anything. He walked out on the Prime Minister of Israel, now he walks out on a conference HE calls to try to settle the budget issues his party refused to do anything about!

Is this really a man you would call a leader? He has offered nothing but more spending.

As I've said before he thinks there is no end to OUR money

California Reps Don't Get It!

We have businesses and jobs leaving our state in record numbers, but our representatives just can't seem to understand why. I suppose they think people feel it is a privilege to give their hard earned money to the government and still see nothing back from it except more regulations making it even harder to do business.

Either they just don't get it or are thinking they just haven't done enough of what they're doing and if they just double down on the debt and the spending (of other people's money) that things will finally start to work out. What they don't understand is that they are fundamentally opposed to the free market system of capitalism and as such they really don't want it to succeed. They think either jobs come from the government, or that all the jobs should be produced by small businesses only and this being the case they should drive the large businesses out or drive them under financially.

If it is the second of these things then it is understandable that they are not changing their policies. They don't even think they're doing anything wrong. I'm sure there are some people who are more than happy to be inconvenienced in every way for the sake of green initiatives and all their anti garbage stuff, but on the other hand everyone eventually wants to make money and if they don't make money and can't make money they are going to leave the sates.

Our representatives are making it harder all the time for us to keep jobs in this state. I suppose they don't care. They will continue to blame and demonize the businesses for not hiring or for leaving and going to other states because they, like Obama simply can't accept that they are the cause of the problems.

The only thing more of a mystery than they're lack of understanding that they are the problem is the numbers of people who continue to vote them back in office. What exactly have they done that you are so jazzed about that you don't want anyone but them? Is the job they're doing really that good? Do you even know what they've done? Are you that happy to pay some of the highest taxes in the country? Are you kids that well educated? California now ranks among the bottom 5 for education in the U.S. Are you property taxes, city taxes, county taxes, and state taxes that good? What do you get for them? Oh yes the free loaders get plenty, but then they're not the ones paying the taxes! Are jobs easier to find as the businesses flee the state?

I'm curious just what have they done beside a lot of politically correct regulations that only make your life harder. Again I say, what have Barbie Boxer, Lynn Woolsey, Diane Feinstein and the rest of our representatives done that you think is so great?!!!

Impeachable Offences

Impeachable Offenses

You have to wonder just how many impeachable offenses the president needs to commit before anything will even be said, much less actually starting impeachment hearings. The congress is afraid to even demand things from the president or his Czars. All they do is make "requests". To these the president doesn't even respond at all and it is as if congress doesn't have a clue what to do when they are ignored.

No one is answering any of the questions about the gun running to the mexicans and who authorized it and the congress is just waiting to see if the American people are going to let it go away. I wonder are we going to let it go away? There has been almost nothing on this, but certainly the media is more than happy to report on Casey Anthony for weeks on end with almost no interruption.

Thomas Jefferson was of the opinion that anyone that defied the constitution or did not hold it in reverence. For some reason we seem to feel this would be an inappropriate reason to ever impeach someone. We have come to love freedom of speech and thought so much that we even tolerate the freedom of speech that would deny our own constitution. We are more than willing to listen to speech from people who would see our nation destroyed. This was not then nor would it ever be the feeling of the founding fathers that such a thing should be tolerated.

I have spoken of the Federalists as if they were a homogeneous body, but this not the truth. Under that name lurks the heretical sect of monarchists (communists - mine). Afraid to wear their own name, they creep under the mantle of Federalism, and the Federalists, like sheep permit the fox to take shelter among them, when pursued by dogs.

These men have no right to office. If a monarchist (communist - mine) be in office, anywhere, and it be known to the president, the oath he has taken to support the Constitution imperiously requires the instantaneous dismission of such office; and I hold the President criminal if he permitted such to remain. To appoint a monarchist to conduct the affairs of a republic, is like appointing an atheist to the priesthood. (From a newspaper letter, June 1803, Paul Leicester Ford, ed., The Writings of Thomas Jefferson 10 Vols. [New York; G.P. Putnam's Sons 1892-1899 8:237)

We have a president who not only refuses to do his duty and remove these sorts of men, but has actually made it a point to appoint almost nothing but these sorts of men to the positions as Czars!

As Mentioned above, the Federalists (republicans now) are like sheep permitting these people to stay in office. It is as though we are not aware that they are directly opposed to the American Constitution. Of course the liberals, democrats, and many of them either communists or with communist/Marxist leanings, if not wholly sold out to the cause, want to pretend to be a viable part of the political process and we allow them to continue!

Even as the monarchists were viewed as a great danger to the republic and obviously opposed to the constitution so is the case with communists and Marxists now. Many of our representatives, though taking the oath of office to defend and support the constitution, are clearly opposed to it both in their words and in their actions.

The President has no right to declare war. This is right reserved to Kings and monarchs and so again our president violates the Constitution. (see Article 1, Section 8) We do not need to wrangle of what are most likely more poorly worded laws which probably entail many pages and confuse the issue to confirm what the Constitution tells us in so few words. The power to declare war is vested in the congress, NOT IN THE PRESIDENT.

We do not need a 1000 reasons to impeach the president. We only need one constitutional mandate broken to impeach the man. Our current president seems to show disdain for the constitution at every turn, feeling that it somehow limits his power. Well that's what it was designed to do and if he doesn't like he most certainly should not be the president. He swore to uphold and defend the constitution and if by his actions or words he does not do this then he should be driven from office and the sooner the better.

So I ask where is the congress in all this. They are even as Jefferson said above, "and the Federalists, like sheep permit the fox to take shelter among them, when pursued by dogs." All we need to do is replace the word federalists with republicans or even just representatives to see that our leaders do not seem it is their place to judge if we have enemies to the Constitution in our midst. This is a very sad state of affairs and one I hope we can reverse before it is too late.

Stimulus

The report is finally out and it is clear that stimulus hasn't worked. Obama and the rest of the media would have us believe that it saved or created millions of jobs, but according to a report released by the Obama administration it has cost approx $278,000 per job created.

Think about how absurd this is. They could have just cut a check to each of those people for $100k and saved the other 2/3's of the money. It would have cost the tax payer less and those people would have been set for at least 3 or 4 years if they were careful.

Of course they couldn't do that because if they did they knew there would be outrage among the tax payers for simply giving such a win-fall to those who had not worked for it at all, in fact it would be giving to those who weren't even trying to find a job.

Still it would have made a lot more sense to do that finacially than to waste it to who knows where.

Let's face it, the stimulus was not about saving jobs or providing jobs. It was the world's large slush fund to be used by our honest hardworking non-representing representatives.

Obama just can't help himself when it comes to talking about more "investment", translation spending. He and the rest of the democrats seem to only know 2 words, TAX and SPEND. Oh, yes they are coming up with new euphemisms, such as investment and more revenue, but it doesn't change what those words mean. They are masters of public relations, propaganda and marketing. They seem to think if they keep finding new words for old concepts that will some how make those concepts different in the way they behave.

Of course they are not that stupid but they think the rest of us are.

Obama doesn't want to use the words, shovel ready again, because he is already admitting that there were no shovel ready jobs, so again it's off to find another new word to use for the same thing, now he's calling them construction and infrastructure jobs, but it amounts to the same thing the last round of money was "supposed" to be for. Of course the money only went to banks where it is now being hoarded. Though they did also spend much of that money on frivolous things, such as treadmills for shrimp and the like.I would say they must think we're stupid if we're going to buy that, but then there doesn't seem to be a lot of outrage over it, so maybe it does work.

We really need to get on our non-representing representatives about the insane stuff they find to spend/waste our money on. They are no better than drunken sailors on furlough.

Constitutionality of the President Declaring war

Article 1, Section 8 THE POWERS OF CONGRESS
To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

It is clear from this section of the constitution that it is the congress that has the power to declare war, not the president. Just because he called it something other than a war doesn't change what it is. When you use the military to attack another nation there is really nothing else you can call it but an act of war. It is certain that is how the other country will view it.

The war powers act has nothing to do with it except in so far as it would be another law the president was breaking, but that doesn't not change the fact that he has violated the constitution itself and as such is by far the more severe of the violations.

We have a president who disdains the constitution and sees it as an impediment to the things he wants to do. Still his views do not violate the constitution except insofar as he swore to uphold and defend the constitution.

On at least several occasions he has ignored judges rulings and again has gotten a pass on these things. How many times will we let him flaunt the law and the constitution before the congress will take some kind of action. If we don't do something about it he will continue till the constution is shreaded. No doubt in the future other presidents will follow suit with their reason being, "BUT HE DID IT!" which is the same as precedent.

Of course who expects anyone in our congress to actually know what's in the constitution. Yes, they carry it around with him, but it doesn't seem to mean very much too them and it is widely known that most of them never read it. It is nothing more than a patriotic symbol to them.

Every member of congress ought to be completely outraged anytime a high official violates the constitution. But then we have people in congress who are far more concerned about keeping people in their party safe then they are in keeping the constitution safe. You would think they took an oath to uphold and defend the party rather than the constitution.

We need to hold our non-representing representative's feet to the fire on every issue of the constitution. As some have recommended, for every law they pass, most especially at the federal level they should be required to show where in the constitution they get the power to do the thing they propose. It should not be proposed and then passed and then have to go to judges to determine if it is constitutional. By that point the people are already under it and as such it becomes ever more difficult to get rid of it. This has been the case with Obama Care.

The president has a right to direct a war once it's been declared, even as a general does not have a right to declare or start a war, but only has the power to prosecute it once it has been declare so it is with the president. He is over all the generals. He is like a general of the generals, but he is not empowered by the constitution at all to declare war.

Congress has busied itself creating laws to give the president loopholes to declare war where no loophole exists in the constitution or any of its amendments. If they want to give the president such a right then the constitution needs to be amended.

This has nothing to do with whether the war is a good war, a bad war, a necessary war or otherwise. It is only about whether the president has the power to start a war, and HE DOES NOT!

Where is the congress on this?! Where is the outrage of the people? All of the people! Not just the people of the opposing party!!!

Liberals are notoriously against war for any reason, unless their side starts it, then as far as they are concerned it should not be questioned for any reason.

Again where is the congress on this? Where is the outrage or even the impeachment proceedings and I don't mean a slap on the wrist, I mean a real impeachment. He has violated the constitution. Is there any higher crime a president can commit?!

Republlicans Looking to Lose

One more evidence of the similarity between the republicans and the democrats seems to be their willingness to compromise with the democrats even when they all all the cards.

The democrats call them the "Party of NO". bigots, racists, and homophobes and all they do is cave in every time. I suppose in some ways they are worse than the democrats. At least the democrats are clear about what they believe and want for this nation, even though they know it will destroy the nation. The republicans say one thing but are regularly willing to cave in. They only time they make a strong sounding stance is when it seems they realize that it won't make any difference.

I can't help but wonder how many of them would have caved in and voted for Obama care if they hadn't had the democrat votes to make it happen. Already the rumors are flying that they're getting ready yet again to give in on the debt ceiling, the budget, the cuts and higher taxes.

So again I ask, what is the difference between the republicans and the democrats. Well I suppose you might say that the republicans are spineless.

They have no stomach to fight back. They have no stomach to call the democrats the party of irresponsibility. Not a word from them of how the democrats have not yet put forward any budget. All they can do is criticize what others do, but they aren't willing to do anything themselves.

Why is it that the democrats get a pass on this when republicans never would? Again the reason is because the democrats are a bunch of wimps.

The president breaks the constitution by declaring war without the consent of congress. This has nothing to do with the War Powers Act. The war powers act does not trump the constitution so why is the congress and especially the republicans not making a big deal out of it. Because they're afraid of being called racists. As I've said... SPINELESS.

Maybe they're looking to get themselves kicked out of power again for the last time so they can say there was nothing they could do about the democrats plans to destroy this country as a free nation. Maybe they think the democrats will give them some bread crumbs of favors, or maybe it is that they just don't really know what they're doing either and are paralyzed with the fear of doing the wrong thing. If this is the case then they most certainly shouldn't be in the positions of leadership we've given them.

I further don't understand this business of secret meetings with the president. Didn't they promise us more transparent government? But then didn't the democrats do the same thing and then carry out almost the entire Obama care bill in secret only showing it hours before they were ready to vote on it. All they wanted was to pretend they were being transparent.

It would seem our dear republicans are about to do the same thing. They're going to settle on a deal, present it to us as the greatest thing since sliced bread and tell us how they had to compromise. Are we really going to believe that tripe again?

Have you noticed they don't talk about repealing the health care bill anymore. This goes to show that they think they talked about it enough to get elected, but really had no intent on carrying through with it. They know all they have to do is nothing long enough and it will be in place. Once it's in place they will behave as though there is nothing they can do about this either.

It is hard to tell if the republicans really believe the American people are in any way in favor of higher taxes? If they feel pressure from the media about this and are actually stupid enough to believe anything the media says right now, or if they're in collusion with the democrats on this secretly.

Do the republicans not get the message themselves of why we sent them to Washington and gave them the landslide we did? If they don't then it means that they are even more stupid than we thought and they do need to go along with most all of the incumbents.

Sadly I'm becoming more convinced that the last election was really our last chance and that we blew it in the ones that we picked. We still got the same leadership at the top of both parties and this is what is driving things in the same direction it has been going all along.

Will we give up or even throw away our freedom. Do we even understand what freedom really means anymore. Do we understand that if we try another form of government we will never get this one back again, nor will we ever have the same freedoms, rights and liberties that we've had with this one.

Consider carefully before you sit back and just let congress and the president do what they're doing.

The Palestinian Problem

Why is it there is more pressure put on Israel to give up land which is clearly essential to their national security while there is almost no pressure put on Zuhri to simply renounce his position regarding the right of Israel to exist? All that is being asked of him is that he changes his political position. He’s not being asked to give them aid, or to give up any of their land to the Jews as a show of good faith. Basically nothing is being asked of them except to say that they agree that Israel has a right to exist, but even this they won’t do. This alone ought to speak volumes to the world, but still the world blames the Jews and feel that they are the ones who are the ones who won’t stand for what is right.

It mystifies me why the rest of the world cannot see the absurdity of this position. They cannot see how crazy it is for the Jews to give up land which really does rightfully belong to them for the sake of a supposed peace with a group of people who will not even renounce their view that these people have no right to a nation of their own at all. They demand from a nation, which has been a nation in that same place back as far as 4000 years ago, while the Palestinians did not even exist as a people even 100 years ago. Yet it is the Palestinians that feel they have the right to be there as well as the right to get rid of the Jews from the face of the earth and certainly from the Middle East.

Zuhri’s position is clearly untenable yet the world expects every to bow to him and give him what he wants, but they place not even the demand to recognize that Israel has a right to exist. The continuous denial on the part of the world to recognize the Palestinians and Hamas for what they are is mystifying. People treat the Palestinians the way they do the terrorists. Everyone is afraid to call them what they are to speak openly about what their goals are. They have not one single time actually given even one inch toward peace. They have continual demands, but offer nothing in trade and when they do offer it they don’t keep their deal even when it comes to something as simple as a cease fire. They have chosen to ally themselves with terrorist groups such as Hamas and the PLO at every chance. They don’t renounce them. They chose them chose them to represent them and to bargain for them.

Enough of making excuses they do this because they’re afraid of the “minority” of Muslims that are extremists. Several opportunities have come up for them to pick someone else to represent them, but they always all in with the terrorists. For some reason we feel the continual need to add the obvious statement that no all Palestinians are terrorists, or not all Muslims are extremists, but yet no one can point to any that are truly reasonable. By any I don’t mean a single one… I mean one of the mass of moderates the politically correct claims exist. Yet they are lucky if they can find even a handful of individuals that are actually moderate.

It is time to call upon the Palestinians and those who support them to show some concrete desire for peace. If they will not show even in words that they are willing to have peace and pay at least some price for that peace; if they are not willing to offer anything except to say they want peace then it is time for us to withdraw any support of their position. If they feel we are no longer supporting them morally I cannot help but believe they will begin to rethink their position. At this point they have received unwavering support from the whole world. Everyone has continually taken their side against the Jews. They have been supported financially more per capita than any other nation on earth and yet we still apply none of the presure we could.

The Palestinians do not change their positions because as long as they have support they know they don't need to. We have yet to see any nation withdraw or even give the appearance of withdrawing their support from the Palestinians in spite of all they have done. yet we have threatened to do that to Israel over and over and many nations have withdrawn their support.

Why are nations so afraid to try something new to pressure the Palestinians to come to the bargaining table in earnest? Why is it that the Palestinians are never pressured for more concessions. They are always viewed as being attacked by Israel even though this has never happened except when Israel has been attacked first. There is not one instance of preemptive and uncalled for attacks on Palestinians and most especially even when they have been attacked in retaliation the targets are never civilians. Does this mean civilians are never injured? Certainly not. It would be impossible not have injure at least a few when the Muslims use them as shields.

It is time for the nations to call upon the Palestinians to do their part. They are always viewed as those who are continually attacked but they are actually the ones that are doing the attacking and doing it incessantly. It is time for us to demand that they give up some stuff to show they are serious about wanting peace. They're not even willing to give up their position about Israel having a right to exist as a nation. While still holding on to the position that Israel has no such right, what point of peace is there to even begin discussing. Just by making this statement they are really saying that Israel has no right to anything they currently hold.

We need to take a stronger stand in the U.N. when resolutions come up against Israel; in fact we should even go further than that and put forth resolutions that start to require things of the Palestinians and if they are not willing to give an inch then we should cut off their aid. After all they could certainly get all the aid they want if they were just willing to give a little in the direction of peace. As it is the Palestinians get more money per capita than any other political group in the world when it comes to aid. Why do we give them so much aid? The answer is simple they are experts at playing the media card. They trust in the great amount of spiritual hatred directed against Israel.

If you asked most people who have a problem with Israel why they have such a problem there are probably very few that could give you anything more than platitudes. They certainly couldn't give you any actual or accurate statistics to back up what they say. What they do instead is making statements that simply make stereotypical accusations about them as a people. They say things that are taken for granted such as they control Wall Street, or that they run Hollywood even though there is not one shred of proof either of these things are the case. They leave it up to the opposition to prove it is not so, but this is not the way accusations are supposed to work.

When are we going to start demanding some serious concessions from the Palestinians? Is their nothing they are required to DO to prove they are serious about peace? Is there no criticism for them when they can't even stop their terrorist attacks and deal with the situation like statesmen? Those committing these acts are nothing less than terrorists and barbarians.

Class Warfare

I do not understand why so many people are surprised that Obama is launching his campaign of class warfare. Is this not one of the staples of Socialism and Communism. It is all about divide and conquer. There is really little difference between this and the methods used by community organizer, or maybe it's the other way around.

Has there ever been a socialist or communist that didn't use the class warfare weapon. The reason they use it is that it tends to be very effective. You pit the have nots against the haves and promise them you'll take all or plenty from the haves so that the have nots can have without even having to work for it, which is of course why the have not, have not! People generally don't have because they are either unwilling to work or what it will take to have, while the haves look at every opportunity and do everything they can to make sure they get their piece of the pie through hard work.

Hard work and money seem to have become dirty words of late. It is probably one of the reasons that the bible and most religions are down on envy. Envy invariably leads to war and strife.

This kind of behavior is unbecoming of a president. We should never have a president that sets himself to creating discord among the people. Any president willing to do this is setting himself against the best good of the people. We need to realize just how serious this is.

We have every right to ask, and we ought to ask whether our president seeks to build unity and good will among the people or whether he sets himself to creating discord, envy and strife by the words he uses.

The media is afraid to call Obama a socialist or a communist even though both of these describe him much better than being a capitalist does. Clearly the media has been running interference for the president for a long time and they are not even trying to hide it any more. They don't mind being overt in their support. At one time they thought all they had to do was keep declaring that they were unbiased and people would believe it, but now it has become so obvious that it is not really possible for anyone to believe they are neutral any more.

Consider how the L.A. Times has continued to sit on a video they have of Obama with Khalidi before the election. Yes it is true that we can only speculate on what is in the video because unfortunately the video belongs to the L.A. Times and not Fox News. For some reason the L.A. Times is determined to hide exactly what is n that video. This means that we can only speculate based on their bias for the president that it must be something very damaging that they still cannot afford to let out. maybe they're thinking they'll hold onto it till he's out of office and then produce it for some documentary. The problem with this is that they've kept this under wraps for so long now that unless it really isn't much they can never afford to release it without condemning themselves for not reporting it.

This being the case the only way that video will ever see the light of day is if some hacker somewhere finds a way into the L.A. Times and grabs it and posts it to the internet the way they did with the global warming emails that turned out to be so damning. If not that, then the only other hope is that some whistleblower will grab it and release it to the public so that we can still come to know what's in it.

It seems to me that it is important that this be released but I'm certainly not holding my breath.

Obama has been very successful at getting his entire agenda pushed through and all the time has managed to keep his hands off most of it only taking credit for things once they're put through. He is very good at using "useful idiots" like Pelosi and Reid, who, though willing accomplices, are being used nonetheless. Obama will happily discard them if they become a detriment to his cause.

Why is it that people feel that rich people somehow don't deserve their money? Whether they got it through intelligent investment, hard work, or even through inheritance, does it matter? Ask yourself, if your parents or some other person left you a lot of money, do you really feel that 50% or more of it should be taken from you? If you worked hard for 20 years and through that hard work and careful savings amassed a couple of million dollars do you really feel it would only be right to have 50% or more of it taken from you? Wouldn't that be the same as taking 10 years of your life from you?

This class warfare we are hearing thrown around almost as much as racism is absurd. When we hear any representative put it forward we ought to Boo them until they finally stop doing it. You have a right to the money you have, and no man has a right to take it from you simply because you have it!

Enough is enough. This money was not gotten through nefarious means. It was not gained illegally, and any person out there has the opportunity to do the same thing. If people like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates feel they aren't giving enough to the government, they don't need any one to force everyone in opulent situation to give up their opulence all they need to do is give the government everything they feel the government should take. This being the case you only need to ask why aren't they doing that then?

A Powerless Congress

It would seem we have a congress that is completely impotent. Several congressmen have demanded in writing responses to legal issues from the president as well as others and today they have recevied no information back. They simply ignored as though they don't matter, and it may be that they don't matter.

The most recent example of this is the congressional oversight to try to determine the extent of Justice Kagan's involvement in the Obama healthcare plan and defense. 49 congressmen filed a freedom of information act for the emails from Kagan's office while she was Solicitor General. They didn't get everything they wanted, and before they could get more the DOJ was instructed to not give them anymore information. This means 2 things. First the freedom of information act is meaningless. You are not free to get information about the government that is supposed to be serving you.

It would seem that almost everyone feels free now to ignore the congress. If they demand something, it means nothing to congress unless they're dealing with some of the little people like us. Where the other Elites are concerned however, the congress is at the bottom of the totem pole.

The congress and most especially the republicans seem afraid to do anything that will rock the boat. They are more concerned with looking good then doing the right thing. They must know if they don't uncover this information about Kagan they will not be able to demand she recuse herself on any cases regarding health care. It is certain that Obama is counting on this so the deck will be stacked in favor of the Health care plan. If she isn't able to cast her vote it may mean that things go against the administration. The administration is not about to let that happen no matter what they have to do.

First they pass a law they know is unconstitutional and then get a Judge in place who most likely has ties and leanings toward communism and not the constitution. Even on these matters she was hard to nail down and again the congress fell down on their job. Though the citizens have a right to hold unconstitutional views and question the government, those that serve the constitution are required by their oath to uphold the constitution whether they like it or not.

The left/extremists/communists have become incredibly bold and aggressive in their agenda and the right has continually backed off. They behave as though they'll be able to get things back the way they were once they're in power, but they've already demonstrated that they don't mind if things go down this path in the first place. At best we can hope for little more than that they will try to change or amend the laws a little, but they will not get rid of them. If this law does pass th supreme court there will be no more discussion about it for many years to come just like Social Security.

The problem with the reasoning is that once something is declared constitutional it is assumed that getting rid of it would be unconstitutional, but this is not at necessarily the case. It may be constitutional for the government to give people welfare, but that doesn't mean removing welfare would be violating anyones constitutional rights. Both would be constitutional.

In my opinion all this shows is that the government shouldn't be involved with it in the first place. The constitution does a very good job of clearly defining the limits of the federal government and the states. Did the founders get it completely right? I believe there is little doubt that there were other things that needed to be done, but that is why we have the amendment process. The constitution wasn't meant to be changed on a whim. By choosing to simply ignore the limits placed on the government by the constitution we are grave danger of ending up with tyranny.

It is clear that tyranny can come from either of two quarters. When some individual or small group begins to demand freedoms and rights that are not actually granted by our creator we end up with the tyranny of the immoral. These people insist the government should have no power at all. It is clear that our founders understood that any people needs a good government if they are to live in peace and security. At the same time our founders understood that when a government grows too large it becomes possible for the government to become the tyranny the people so feared.

We did not go to war with England over a whim. It was not something that was rushed into. It is not something where the people of America woke up one morning and said lets have a revolution just so we can rule ourselves.

Our founders spend a lot of time pleading with England. Unfortunately England only increased the pressure all the more, the more the people pleaded with them.

We have a congress who bows to the president on almost everything for fear of the ever present politically correct rhetoric that they are being racist simply because they disagree with a black man.

Are we not allowed to disagree with any person of color either on political, cultural or religious views without being called racists. Do people who believe this realize that they are saying that people of color must always be right.

Who Can Win and Who Cannot?

Who can win and who cannot? When this question is asked by the media what they are really doing is trying to give advice to the candidate of who should run and who should not. They are sending the signal that they are not going to give those people very much coverage even if the American people want to hear more from them.

The job of the media is not to tell us who they think can win and who can't. By doing this they are already trying to manipulate the situation. They love to call those in Washington elites and there is little doubt that most in Washington view themselves that way, whether they're willing to say it or not. This does not mean that the media don't view themselves as an elite class as well. Listen to how they get when they get shut out of things they think they hae a right to be present for.

Don't misunderstand me. I am not for the government shutting anyone out of meetings or keeping the American people in the dark about most things by keeping the media away. At the same time the attitude of the media is that we should listen to them because this is what they do for a living and so they know better than us who can and can't win. By implication they are clearly saying to some you should run and we'll do what we can to cover you, while to the others they are sending the signal that they are not the sort of people that they would like to see as president.

Even Fox News does this all the time with their commentators. I wish they would spend less time commentating and more time giving us the facts, which is after all what news really is supposed to be about. Instead they cover daily the drama of a trial of a woman who most likely killed one of her own children. We really don't need to sit through all that. An occasional update is understandable, but  daily is really just too much.

You could tell at first the media tried to marginalize Herman Cain, but then they realized just how much people do like him. They undoubtedly got a lot of mail about him so they felt it would make good TV to have him on a few times, but they're still not giving him nearly the equal time or coverage they're giving the likes of Pawlenty and the others.

Honestly I wish the media would quit trying to pick winners for us and I have a feeling many other Americans feel the same way I do. I for one would much prefer a Michelle Bachmann or Herman Cain in office to these others that have show far too much willingness to compromise with the liberalism who will not budge a bit. The only way to get compromise (which can be a good thing) is often to stand your ground till the other side starts to give something.

Consider the democrats have not given us a budget for more than 1.5 years. They did not even allow republicans in the room when they were hammering out the Obamacare law, but then they make a big stink in the news how the republicans aren't willing to compromise. I also believe very strongly that there are some things you should never compromise on. One of the things we should never compromise on is the constitution, or real ethics or morality.

The idea that communism or socialism even deserves a fair hearing by or from our representatives is insane. It is completely opposed to the constitution and so unless we vote to discard to the constitution altogether then we should not even have these seditionists in our midst as representatives.

It is time we start telling the media which seems more interested in their own political agenda than the good of the people and the truth to stop their elitist attitudes and presentation of the news. We need to remind them that their job is to report what happens, Not to spend countless hours commenting on what it means. We don't need to media to tell us who can win and who cannot.
