The report is finally out and it is clear that stimulus hasn't worked. Obama and the rest of the media would have us believe that it saved or created millions of jobs, but according to a report released by the Obama administration it has cost approx $278,000 per job created.
Think about how absurd this is. They could have just cut a check to each of those people for $100k and saved the other 2/3's of the money. It would have cost the tax payer less and those people would have been set for at least 3 or 4 years if they were careful.
Of course they couldn't do that because if they did they knew there would be outrage among the tax payers for simply giving such a win-fall to those who had not worked for it at all, in fact it would be giving to those who weren't even trying to find a job.
Still it would have made a lot more sense to do that finacially than to waste it to who knows where.
Let's face it, the stimulus was not about saving jobs or providing jobs. It was the world's large slush fund to be used by our honest hardworking non-representing representatives.
Obama just can't help himself when it comes to talking about more "investment", translation spending. He and the rest of the democrats seem to only know 2 words, TAX and SPEND. Oh, yes they are coming up with new euphemisms, such as investment and more revenue, but it doesn't change what those words mean. They are masters of public relations, propaganda and marketing. They seem to think if they keep finding new words for old concepts that will some how make those concepts different in the way they behave.
Of course they are not that stupid but they think the rest of us are.
Obama doesn't want to use the words, shovel ready again, because he is already admitting that there were no shovel ready jobs, so again it's off to find another new word to use for the same thing, now he's calling them construction and infrastructure jobs, but it amounts to the same thing the last round of money was "supposed" to be for. Of course the money only went to banks where it is now being hoarded. Though they did also spend much of that money on frivolous things, such as treadmills for shrimp and the like.I would say they must think we're stupid if we're going to buy that, but then there doesn't seem to be a lot of outrage over it, so maybe it does work.
We really need to get on our non-representing representatives about the insane stuff they find to spend/waste our money on. They are no better than drunken sailors on furlough.
